Hardware Blemish under the screen ?! ( 3DS XL )

hi guys, i had already posted once regarding my screen issue , water was dropped on it and only top screen is the affected part i let it dry up in rice, and some hours in the sun, placed it on its face so the sun doesnt straightly shine on the screen itself, anyway it dried up perfectly but i have the feeling there is residue stuck in it now .. is there any way to fix this without opening the damn thing.. :l ?

Dude, send it for repair or buy another one ... There is no way you can remove dust or whatever else is under the screen without opening it.

Nope. You've got to remove the display lens to wipe the debris off from the inside. 70% alcohol though can remove those types of marks without leaving any residue. Any concentration higher than that though will leave streaks in the plastic that may be permanent, so don't be foolish like me and assume that a higher concentration = better cleaning.

thanks for the suggestions guys , should i remove the top screen like this guy does (in video )?
if i do i believe it has alot of glue on the surface panel.. so how do i go on about wiping the dirty spots? 70% of alcohol @SmileCitrus you suggest that but i only have lcd cleaner i don't know if that's good enough, and can cloth be used to wipe it? I'm afraid to mess it up even more than it already is, might as well leave it like it is now, i already have two other 3ds consoles but i love them all and my bro mistakingly slipped water on it -_- that's when it happened.

sometimes stains like that are under the lcd on the backlight which requires you to dissable the screen assy. If your careful you dont even need to remove the ribbon cables from the hinge. (or undo the bottom of the 3ds for that matter) but that would make the cleaning easier. I love these type of repairs as their is no parts to buy

If you're worried about making it worse it might just be easier to leave it alone or to replace the plastic display lens with a new one. Then all you have to worry about is cleaning the LCD itself. I don't know if LCD cleaner would work on the plastic, since I've never used the stuff myself. All I can say is that I've accidentally ruined many good display lenses by using cleaners that were too harsh.

If you do decide to try cleaning it yourself though it should be fine to use a microfiber cloth. But you should be sure it's very clean, otherwise it may leave streaks from wiping. You could also use a tissue. It's less likely to leave streaks like some types of cloth, but it will leave little tiny bits of dust, which can be tricky to remove.

I had the exact same happen to my original 3ds XL, it looked like yellow powder under the screen, though nothing ever happned to it, no moisture and wasn't dropped, one day it was just there.

I sent it in for repair to nintendo via the videogame shop I bought it since it was still under warranty, got a new unit back with my nnid linked. If you still have warranty and can miss your 3ds for 2-3 weeks, i'd send it in. no use in voiding your warranty and risking screwing up unless you are confident about it. ... dunno how the customer support in Iraq is... if thats really your flag

Yeah, if still under warranty, send in.
The edge of the screen, if you wish to do it yourself and if it operates the same as the DS Lite family, can be removed by an X-acto knife at the corner and easy lifting. The sticky residue on the undersides of the screen will reattach normally. If not, double sided acid free tape found for scrapbooks and photos will be the best bet for adding back on.
Also, the markings could be plastic warpings. Humitity and heat combine and recombined plastic weakens producing discoloration.

err.. xD yes that my flag it is sadly the country i am from .. sadly why ? because of tooo much corruptions and wars and shit , you know its nothing new .

and er... Nintendo is totally not in , in iraq.. Only SONY rules here . we dont have good repair shops so i will leave the 3ds be for now,

i wanted to fix it to use it for DS games mainly , but now i got the DS Profile sticked to my n3dsxl and its all good and awesome ( I order my Nintendo Consoles from the U.S etc. ) .
