Without a DSTwo, the DS can already emulate in a very acceptable fashion Sega Genesis, Master System and Game Gear, Gameboy (and Color), Neo Geo, NES, SNES, Commodore 64, and probably many more (but I haven't tried them myself).

Only thing I have against the DSTwo is it devours your battery life. I mean Game Gear levels of crappy battery life (pre-LED mod). If battery life isn't a concern, go for it.

DSTWO Battery drain is there, but it is not all that bad. Depending on what you are doing the extra drain is usually very minimal.

True. Though, when using DSTwo specific software, I've had only a three hour battery life. It's even worse on the 3DS, due to it's already mediocre battery life. The only thing I used it for over my regular flashcart was GBA emulation, but since I switched over to a 3DS, I just started carrying a Game Boy micro in my shirt pocket and using my R4i Gold for my other homebrew.

AGS-101 SP in a jean pocket for me, but same principal.
