I have no opinion, anything can happen, but this is how my packages arrive always, i have never seen a brown enveloppe with tape arround (Excues me, i did once, but it had a notice from customs that it was opened)
Mostly i rip it openen, but there are a few trick to open them unharmed.

As you can see on this package, this company i often order stuff at, sticks the adress paper on the closing side of the eveloppe and a little but on the other side, so when you open it, you have to rip the white paper, Best proof for untampered stuff!

(Pictures are taken after i opend the package, it's just an example to show that there is no tape around the enveloppe ;)

He needs to take clear pictures of the package to proof him right, not some video that has no clear sharp pictures, but you can see the tape around it, where you would open the enveloppe.

Still, i do not have a clear opinion on this one :), i would not be suprised if it happend, but for the same thing, nds-card did send the right stuff but underway some corrupt guy could have switched the goods (has happened before and still does happen)

Good catch, I didn't mention that one - all the ones I get from overseas don't have extra packing tape like the one on the video. Extra tape = more money, more weight.

If someone was suspicious they would say that someone 'sealed' it back up to make it look untampered.

Don't care about nds-card, never bought from them and never will (their prices are insane), however the video does look fake.
Let alone the envelope and the box looking like they have been used, the reaction was so badly/awkwardly performed it was embarrassing...

Why would you do that ?Don't know...one obvious reason would be to keep the gateway cards and get your money back, basically getting a free gateway, not accusing, but it could be one of the reasons.

The real question is, why would they do it ?They have a massive reputation(despite being expensive), why would they scam you ?80$ is nothing for them, and I'm pretty sure they came up with a "garbage excuse" after they probably asked whoever was responsible for sending you the package and confirming that they actually put a real gateway inside.

You don't open very many packages do you?

Oo

After a while it just happens.

Actually thousands from overseas. And if something was so clearly beat up I would very carefully and slowly open it instead of not bothering to even look and deftly slipping it open.

pause his video at 1:26- you sir clearly forgot to remove your micro sd card off the right adapter..

can't really tell which type of micro sd, it looks red so probably so transcend/sandisk premium

Yeah - company is going to scam someone - waste a good microSD card... makes sense.

Xenon Hacks Np bud that was the reason to put the video up was to just give a warning to the community

guitarheroknight Not sure how I'm butt hurt over the 9.3 typo and not sure how it was a typo when the clearly asked does gateway support 9.3 and the clearly posted back YES, IT SUPPORTS 9.3! All that being said I'm not butt hurt over it just showing another factor of how they don't care about what happens to their customer other then what just happened to me.
Ok, so they have misinformed you. Who's fault was that? Was it so hard to contact Gateway and ask if the card works above 9.2? I don't think so. I mean it's a rookie mistake but you don't have to bash the reseller due to their nor your ignorance. Simply accept it as it is, you fucked up by trusting a third-party and now you're mad about it and most likely decided to bash them online with a fresh account... Better luck next time.

You don't have to ask the reseller, GW has there own site to answer your question and thats the thing. Not only that you've been on this site since the 19th and should have done some research on GW cards. Every noob member has constantly ask the same questions you have here, in this forum. You, on the other hand, chose to ask a non english reseller about support who is just that, a reseller who copies and paste information on there website to sell a product, who doesn't provide support for that product and probably answers emails with google translator, MAYBE THEY DO.

guitarheroknight again they didn't misinform me that was a completely different customer that had asked them the question far after I ordered my package I ordered mine on the 21st of January and this comment was made quite a bit after that.

I find it humorous you guys are all attacking me by saying I'm an idiot for believing them saying it supports 9.3 again I DIDN'T ASK THIS QUESTION! this was a completely different member they were misleading into making a purchase. Again I could care less if you believe the video or not I posted it to help ppl I gain ZERO benefit from sharing it with you guys other then to help other customers not make the same mistakes I did. So once again before you all sound completely ignorant my 3ds is on 9.20 so I'm not worried about about the 9.3 comment it was just some additional proof of an additional scam. And its funny you guys using they are a foreign company so they excuses them from not knowing what is and not compatible is horse manure if you business is selling flash carts you should know the ins and outs of EVER single card you sell. Its just general business knowledge you don't go into a car dealership and go up to a salesman and they only know the information of one of the cars in their lot.

at the end of my day I did what this video was intended to do I warned a member of this community of the perils I had to deal with this process and it changed their mind into going somewhere else. Again I'm very happy to have helped you Xenon Hacks.

crea As usual with most of the ppl that run up in here and say scammer this scammer that you clearly didn't read any of the other posts as I clearly stated there was indeed microSD cards in the adapters I have no idea the size or the model of the microSD cards them selves however if they match the adapters they came in they are a SanDisk and a Memorex. I will not be taking the SD cards out nor will I be putting them in my computer to find out what is on them as I will not risk what is on them to possibly damage or harm my computer. And its a heck of a lot cheaper to send some cheap microSD cards then it is an 80$ gateway.

OK I guess now you have to go with it eh? Can't stop now.

I can't either, watched you video again. It really looks awfully staged in my opinion, even more at the second time watching. Here are some more points that fuel my suspicion further.

1. The whole idea of making a video for gbatemp, adressing gbatemp in the intro just for unboxing a delivery. Really? Who would have or has done that, ever?
2. The adress is OVER the "sent by air mail" stamp. Suspicious.
3. You mention "still taped" as a proof for sealed several times. This is not a proof by any means. But you mentioning it, IN THE VIDEO simply for unboxing, where you should not have any suspicion beforehand, is kind of strange.
4. You call it a scam immediately and half-heartedly tell about your plans to contact the seller. If this was a genuine case, you would wonder, then get in contact for a packaging mistake, not cry scam like you already did have contact with them.

Want us to go on and dig even deeper?

Lol I know, this is getting ridiculous....

I'm actually laughing at his video now, it's hilariously bad. He didn't even do a good job, I mean take the damn memory cards out dude!

Oh I forgot, he doesn't want Paypals forensics team to think he tampered with the "evidence"

Pause 0:56, you can even see stains on the Gateway Box, nds-card is so unprofessional they would send the box stained like 6 year old kids.

Also, normally, wouldn't you show at least minimal signs of confusion and look back inside the box/envelope ?

When he opens the Gateway box, he says "looks like they have it taped and sealed in", I mean can't you see already through the transparent bubble-wrap that they don't look like anything nearly resembling gateway cards ?(Pause 1:07), you can even see that they're almost half the size of the gateway slot inside the box, yet he makes it look like he only noticed that they look weird once he removed the bubble-wrap.

crea Yeah all this was addressed to gbatemp because when I asked for help of anyone's knowledge of the site before purchased I got almost no responses. In fact most of the responses I got weren't even aimed directly at nds-card.com but the fact they are gbatemp approved here is a link to that post https://gbatemp.net/threads/gateway-purchase-question.379230/ and the biggest thing you few guys that are trying to call me a scammer seem to be totally missing is what do I gain by posting this topic? Nothing.... I helps my Paypal case? NOPE. Have I posted another site saying you should buy from them instead? NOPE. This is literally a video to give some insight on anyone thinking about buying from them. Was it on their end who put the wrong item in the package? Was it someone during the shipping process? I don't know nor will I ever know. The reason I stated it was still sealed and un-tampered with was for the simple fact that it is an across the world shipping Couldn't really got any further away, and China has an INCREDIBLE track record with scamming people so I did this to cover my own tail just encase the unboxing video went sour. Unfortunately it did, and I wanted to share it with the people on these forums because the information about this site was already terribly hard to come by. I didn't think Crea, Templar, and Muffin's video forensics team was gonna roll in and try and discredit the video with every single little detail, however the matter of the fact is you guys don't seem to understand that I don't care again I gain zero benefit from this video. All in all I did what this video was entitled to do and I helped someone out today from making their purchase at this site where they choose to purchase one at this point I could really care less just hopefully its a credible source.

Ra1d I didn't look in the envelope because I'm not ignorant what else would be in the envelope? and no I didn't notice right away as I have stated many times before I am new to the gateway scene and have never seen one personally so yeah it took me a second to realize something was fishy. As for a stain? you clearly need glasses as there is no stain I can take some photos if you like to show you there is no stain. However this is probably just a waste of my time too you trolls will probably just be like oh its a different gateway box obviously.

Billski, Believe it or not this is extremely common when importing merchandise from Hong Kong, It's a high risk country to purchase goods from.
To all the people questioning why nds-card would send him something instead of nothing at all, the reason vendors (scammers) will do this is because they will have tracking numbers and package details to back up their case, and in situations like this paypal will usually side with the vendor unless the buyer returns the item WITH delivery confirmation, which is very expensive.

Here's an example of buyer purchasing a 128gb flash memory card and gettinh send an empty jewelry box instead; paypal ruled in favour of vendor.

I think it's clear that something fishy is definitely going on, Mr. Xiaoling Hui who runs nds-card.com frequents GBAtemp alot, and yet hasn't replied to this topic.

He actually said "conceal" which I thought was pretty funny.

As in, they sent him a flashcart knowing it might get held up in customs so taped it up to somehow circumvent things. But what do i know, the tape could have been coated in radioactive uranium and x ray proof or something....

Not to mention the grimy box! Oh boy....

VuuI For sure bud I knew that going in but as a GBAtemp approved vendor I figured it would be a lot more safe however that is also why I made sure that I recorded the opening and proved it was still sealed shut because of China's very high scam rate when selling items. But yeah I see a lot of people get totally screwed over on Paypal with these orders why I'm not gonna hold my breath but I wanted to at least give some other members some insight. I have however talked it over with Ryukouki and we had a conversation I had sent him all the emails and the order information and he is going to be speaking with them about this I will see were this goes, but I will be sure to let everyone here who is curious know.

What has tracking information and package details got to do with the contents though. It's sealed up, they won't open it to check what's in there before sending it overseas. You make about as much sense as he does, Yes hong Kong is a high risk area hence him trying to get paypal to side with him.

The "unboxing" was very convenient indeed.

Because its about to be Monday morning in shanghai? Geeez.....

Ra1d oh wow your more ignorant then I thought that would be the glare off my screen from the gateways shiny box as everyone has pointed out this was shot on a shitty cam which was actually the webcam off of my laptop.

tony_2018 Very true Tony Im sure he just hasn't responded as this was posted well after the time he was probably going to bed and it still early so Im sure he will eventually get around to making a post in his defense.
