I'm very excited to hear the possibility of play any game in the 3DS. Given that I can't afford the console, at least I want to play a game. :'/

Also glad to see more and more progress with the emulator. My disabled brother can't hold a 3DS and hasn't been able to play the new Fire Emblem, or the Zelda remakes, or Mario 3D Land or anything great like that. Emulators like Citra can help people like my brother play games that would otherwise be lost to them.

i cant afford the console i live in venezuela and a nintendo 3ds is incredible expencive i hope this project can give me the chance to play the games of 3ds

sorry to hear that Celice bud :( (you've mentioned it to me before but I still feel bad)

personally I see this as one of the more acceptable reasons and greater benefits of emulation, especially of newer consoles and not old ones where pirating doesn't affect the gaming industry anyway... actually letting people play games when they couldn't otherwise... not because they don't have the disposable income or don't want to spend it, but because even with money, it wouldn't solve the problem... (ofc there are plenty of other uses for emulation such as non-profit mods, translation patches, savestates/cheats, etc., but a lot of people just want to use it to bypass paying, so more... noble uses of emulation stand out to me)

I'm so happy with your hard work guys. You gave me the motivation. I want to help developing this emulator can I? I know bothing about programing. Zero. Just tell me what I need to do and learn and I will. And then I want to help porting this to android too. And I'm Portuguese by the way sorry for my English :) and congrats for your hard work.

Okay, I tried to use this but the download just starts with trying to give me a bunch of other stupid-looking applications. Is this real or not?

Why are lots of people who don't know anything about programming even trying to simulate the Ocarina of Time demonstration? Obviously the developer has special configurations that allowed them to run the game. You won't be able to play the game.

I'd say that it isn't the worst thing for non-developers to be trying to run it, although the minimum would have to be people who know how to decrypt+repack 3DS roms since you need that to even get anywhere. Testing is good, except when it gets in the way of development or you get too many duplicate issues.

I'm like you. :)
But I will try to port this to Windows Phone, if I can. Which means learn C#, but if it deserves it...

I also fell in that trap. That download isn't from the official web page.
If you want to delete the spyware and those buggy programs, just delete them using AdwCleaner.

And this is why you should wait for us to release builds when we think it's ready, instead of wasting your time.

Whatever you think Citra will do for you, it's not doing that yet in the mainline builds without requiring you to dump files from a 3DS - so the best you're doing is catching yourself a nice virus from obscure 3rd party sites claiming to distribute 3DS emulators.

Or right also, emucr builds are completely broken apparently, because the emucr maintainers have no clue what they're doing, yet even tested their crap.

Are the developers of this emulator using the leaked SDK at all to help with supporting more games? That's what commercial games are compiled with, so I'm sure it would help. As long as it's purely clean-room reverse engineering (meaning no code is actually copied from the SDK to use in the emulator, but rather just used to study how it works) I'm sure it would be legal.

No.
