Hacking GTW 3.0.1 - Error when dumping Retail Carts

Hi,

When trying to dump the 3ds cart i own with the 3.0.1 i get this error message:

>> Game Code: CTR-P-AQEP

>> ERROR! Press A to exit
>> FFFFFFFD

Eu 3dsxl
I'm on sysnand 9.2
and emunand 9.4
4 GB sd card
sysnand and emunand are separated

Have you tried any other carts? Do they all show the error?

Are you sure you actually have enough room on the SD card to dump it?

Almost 100% positive that error is insufficient space.

Also - note this can happen as the unit reserves space when dumping the cart even if the actual file is less than 4GB. Try a larger SD.

Get your sd out of the 3ds and copy everything to your computer
get emunandtool and extrcact the emunand (you get a new file in the folder you choose, named emunand.bin)
Rename this emunand.bin file to nand.bin (to prevent an error later to import)
get new sd cart into your computer and format it with sdformatter, then place launcher.dat on it in the root
put in new sd cart in your 3ds and boot into gateway menu
choose format emunand
after that, put new sd out of your 3ds and place it back into your computer
run emunandtool again and inject your previous emunand.bin (nand.bin)
copy your sd backup from earlier back to your new sd
place new sd into 3ds and boot into gateway, everything should be back to the way it was, only now you have more space on your sd

Looks complicated... better buy a bigger SD so i'll be good for a while : D

I made an edit to my post
it looks complicated, but it is not

I use a 32GB for now
