Nope because downgrading is possible where you'll need the Blue card again.

Selling the two cards separately or bundled would solve this problem. Users who do not care about downgrading or using a different exploit could opt out of buying the blue card, users who wished to have it could. Not to mention there are plenty of alternative flashcarts which can be used in place of the GW blue card. I use my DsTwo, for instance.

It is possible to install it through the custom firmware for 4.5, but not through gateway (At least not without a flash card) as far as I know.

In meanwhile I launched the exploid.
The exploid works. I already did a nand backup and made a emunand (format).
Gateway mode failed to open (of course). It gave me a message to insert the gateway card.

So I descided to launch classic mode (it said it can be launched without Gateway card but some functions will not work)
But when I launch Classic mode, I got a black screen and nothing happen. Is this normal?


Should I cancel my order?

The current beta is only for Classic 3DS (non-NEW) models.

Sadly for those wishing New 3DS will have to wait a bit, current ETA is less then a week for full support.

As like you notice the 'browser' exploit does not work on the New 3DS, it forces you to update first, which of course we don't want.

So you will have to wait until final glitchs are solved in the Mii Maker Exploit as shown in earlier videos and previous guides.

This is being worked on every minute of the day, and once everything is solid a new release will be done with New 3DS support.

Stay tuned, it not been easy the last 72 hours been rough for all of us, even me I am still awake now on my 60th hour, really need to crash soon.

Its normal. Since 8.x you need the gateway card for emunand mode

Just had another thought, do you think gateway will start selling cheaper skus without the blue card as it is now unnecessary?

i think they'll push downgrading to 4.5 as much as they can to keep the current sku relevant.
it is better than going online all the time tbh

From what I have heard you can install devmenu on 9.2, though I have not tried it yet. Will check now. (I have a 4.5 xl (EU) and a 9.2 original (US) )
