Hacking Gateway 3.0 : "Ultra"

I cannot try this until Monday, I'm super hyped and impatient. Thought I'd ask a few questions:

1) Is it advisable to run non cia games using emunand or does it not matter?

2) Where do you put the launcher.dat file, on the root of the sd card?

3) Once I've installed emunand and all my cia files etc can I pop all of the backed up files back on to the sd card so these are accessible by sysnand still?

4) Also I assume that you can leave your 3DS on but close the lid when you're not playing it to avoid having to re-do the exploit?

Because as i've said before i enjoy laughing at others misfortune, especially if people who don't have the skills to make a recovery after bricking consoles jump at beta firmware without second thought.

With GATEWAY ULTRA we support ALL 3DS/2DS/3DS XL consoles on sysnand firmware starting from 4.5 and all the way up to 9.2!

I am a little confused about that. Does that mean that 4.1 - 4.4 is no longer supported? Does the DS profile exploit still work with Gateway 3.0?

Another question: I we use the QR code to activate the exploit instead of going to the gateway website do we still need to be online?

If you are not using Gateway red card and instead are using .CIA/You want to take a break from playing games it is highly recommended to turn off the system completely or take out the red card since it gets very hot and can be damaged if not careful.

In regards to number 3 what I mean is for example.

I back up my sd card before exploit, do all the necessary and then install emunand. Now that my sd card doesn't have the original files am I unable to re-put them on to the same sd card?

If im unable to have them on the same sd card that contains my emunand I assume that I can just use another sd card to access those files on sysnand when needed?

So guys, I have been out of the 3DS scene for a while now. Last I read you could only play 3DS roms using a Gateway and with a firmware 4.5 or below. Is that still the case? Right now my system is at 9.0.0-20(U). I never even heard about anything related to 3DS news until just now and I feel like I'm missing a whole lot.

It would be awesome if someone could explain to me the best way to run 3DS roms on my 3DS (or what I need to get that to happen.) Thanks!

Yeah, I think it is a stableish release but they later found a better exploit (the QR code Mii app exploit is apparently it) so they are calling this beta.

So far its been pretty good except having to go on the browser, but the Mii app exploit should fix that.

If you have another gateway game loaded you have to go to the home screen, hover over it and press "Close" - then you can load another gateway game (or non gateway game) without issues

You use to need a 4.x 3DS, the new beta will work on 4.5-9.2

i was wondering both theses things. don't like the idea of going online every time and relying on a website for the exploit.

QR Codes can only hold so much information. Plus, there needs to be a way in order to exploit a QR code.

I'm a sadist, i enjoy watching people suffer, sorry that's my nature.
Besides, thanks to people who brick consoles on beta we can have safer stable release for all the patient people. Isn't that great ? and even idiots who break their console will most likely learn on their mistakes and get idiocy -1 stat! that's progress!
