yeah, it fails.....also once you update the FPGA the card won't work on old launchers when started from NDS profile......but fortunately you can downgrade the FPGA to the older version (fortunate as i use the NTR CFW for taking in game screenshots which is based on GW2.2)

But apparently its an hardware issue.

also it formats the entire sd card so make sure your files are backed up

Did you try clearing the cookies and history in the browser?
I'm in 9.2, but I had that problem.
