Hacking Gateway 3DS working on the New Nintendo 3DS.

Just a quick observation:

this new exploit seems to be QR based - so technically, you could install the exploit onto your console with launcher.dat without even having the gateway flashcart? It'd be cool for those who still have it shipping via the post.

I was thinking about this and it seems so. Though, if you don't have a gateway card then you can't take advantage of any of the features, so hopefully they have ways of weeding out clones.

The only thing I'm worried about now is that they really got strong servers for this.
I dread a scenario where the server will go down midway with some people having the exploit and others who came late to the party won't :/

You're probably overestimating demand. I doubt there are even 100,000 Gateway owners out there. I mean just look at the video they released last time, it barely has 97k views and I viewed it like 5 times alone

Yeah but it will require hundreds of users to have an active connection, or possibly thousands of users at once and not just simple page load requests, so it's a little bit more bandwidth intensive. Just keep your fingers crossed

And now for some logic. You know what I know?
Gateway themselves haven't said anything about this 48-hour thing.
Therefore, even if garyopa and SonyUSA are affiliated with GW, if GW fails to meet that deadline too, the team can then claim they never made any official announcements or promises. And they'd be right.
So don't come back here crying if it's not released by Friday. I don't doubt its existence, but if I don't see it with my very own eyes, I don't believe it.

I highly suggest you keep your hype contained, and they do release it on Friday, then scream like a girl all you want.
