actually its not like psp, online is based on the actual game. the game connects to the server. given you have the latest patch installed and the ride headers you are good to go to play online. even on 9.2, you just have to be careful not to accidently update your 3ds.

how do i know? i was behind on the whole emunand thing. i was still on 4.5 never updating emunand to higher, but i was still able to play animal crossing online. 3dz file.

Emunand will be supported in the future, or so they say. A .3dz extension is required to play online (or installed .cia)

no you dont, you need to latest patch for the game, which most scenes have rips of. you need to install the .cia file to update the patch.
the best combination would be you own a 4.5 3ds and a n3ds, that way you can get emunand latest and download whatever patches you need and the just rip it from your 4.5 and install it to you n3ds.

you best bet is to boot the game up then turn on your wifi switch and the when ur done playing before turning the game off you need to turn off you wifi switch. you could accidently update your 3ds because of the nag screen.

all you have the do is inject an header enabled online into the 3ds. change the extention from 3ds to 3dz and you are good to go!

You just have to say NO to system updates for now. I wouldn't recommend a .cia without emunand, it's risky, use .3dz.

THE 3DS DOESNT UPDATE ON ITS OWN
I have my wifi on 2 years now every day. It will get the notification if you let it on sleepmode with wifi on but it will not update on its own.

How are you guys still believing them? They said 1 or 2 days for 3 weeks now (at least).... what makes this time more likely than when they said 1 or 2 days 2 weeks ago? Dont you realize that in 2 days it will be another "1 or 2 days" ? Over and over again? FOREVER!
