Most likely someone trying to pull a joke on anybody foolish enough to believe them. If the 2.7 update really did cause errors, they would have probably posted a statement regarding it.
As stated previously, the site has returned to an older form, nothing more. As for why they haven't fixed it, who knows.

Don't you need to update Emunand for newer games that require updates or is that eliminated with GW?

There's a whole lot less utility in having emuNAND if you're not going to update it.

from what i understand, the only good thing its useful is eshop? i won't be needing eshop because i have the cartridges. i believe you can still play online too, as long as the game itself is updated, which i can download via .cias.

Some of the games require your system to be of a certain SysNAND/EmuNAND at least to be able to play, of which will be more important for upcoming games.

Games will eventually require higher firmware to play, which you will have to upgrade or not play them.

Why in the ***k would you not update Emunand? You might as well not use Emunand then. The whole purpose of Emunand is to avoid updating the sysnand. Since Emunand is not permanent. If something went wrong in Emunand you can just delete it and instantly start back a new copy of emunand based off untouched sysnand.

You might as well keep emunand updated. There's no harm in doing so as long as you do it correctly. (that is, only do it from the settings menu. NOT from the eShop!)

If your not going to update emunand your about as future proof as a ***king Sky3DS.

People think it's cool and hip to have that Sky3DS before the Gateway users on 9.2. But they'll all seriously be ***ked when fw 10.0 comes out and that new gen 7 pokemon game comes out and requires that update. When Sky3DS inevitably gets blocked, they'll be SOL because the cards aren't up-datable.

As is proven by the fact that the Sky3DS team just released a new card just to remove the 10 game limit. Have fun being stuck on 9.4 (the latest fw as of this post) forever with your Sky3DS and not getting to play all them games that require fw 10.0. I can bet your ass the next major FW update will block Sky3DS.

Will you buy another $100 crap Sky3DS card that isn't up-datable every time Nintendo releases a FW update? If you seriously think that's a good idea, you are either incredibly stupid an will be homeless soon, or have more money then you probably deserve.

Folks over at 3DBrew confirmed that Sky3DS is detectable. It's only a matter of time before Nintendo figures out how to block it. Only reason they haven't done so yet is because they are probably testing and making sure they don't accidentally block legit carts.

It's also used for installing CIA based games and homebrew. (software installed onto the big SD card inside the 3DS. Not the one on the Gateway card)

Doing so on sysnand is a very bad idea as you risk bricking the console. Another reason why you should use Emunand.
