I'm deciding on getting a wii or wiiu and was wondering if an emulator for wiiu would be possible in the near future because I'm reading things like "No exploit into system, only through internet." Thanks
I mean from the WiiUWii U emulator on PC? No.
Wii U reads Wii games natively, if that's what you're asking.
There is no current way to play Wii U backups at this moment in time and no emulator exist either but you can hack the backwards compatible Wii mode within the Wii U.I'm deciding on getting a wii or wiiu and was wondering if an emulator for wiiu would be possible in the near future because I'm reading things like "No exploit into system, only through internet." I Should've been more clear sry. I know you cant atm, but I'm wondering if it looks like it will be possible in the future, because I don't really understand the situation too well. There is no current way to play Wii U backups at this moment in time and no emulator exist either but you can hack the backwards compatible Wii mode within the Wii U.
Noooooo... I'm wondering if it seems it will be possible in the FUTURE, because I don't understand alot of the terms too well, I was wondering if someone smarter could tell me if it appears like it will be possible later on, because I read that you can't exploit the system. There's no news on any form of hack.
Any exploits that have been discovered are only good for developers to explore the system in the hopes that one may eventually be found.
Please refer to the Stickied thread on current progress that in big red letters says you can't do anything in WiiU mode yet.
Alright. thanks! I'll prolly get the WiiU. Think it will happen anywhere in the next year or two? Wii got exploited in 3 yrs I think, but I'm guessing WiiU is alot tougher. There is nothing yet, but as is with all consumer devices, it's a matter of time until the security is compromised and an exploit is discovered.
So yes, it's possible. as is with all devices.
So, anywhere from now, until the onset of Quantum Cryptanalysis and the cracking of 1024 to 2048 Bit RSA.
(Though, when they day finally comes, we'll have many, *many* more important things to worry about. like the end of computer security as we know it.)
