Hi.
I have an issue with the latest Gateway 2.3b
The issue is that I can access the eShop, but I can't download anything for it.
Once 4 or 8 of that "balls" that appear when you download something are introduced, it stops introducing balls and later it gives an error.

I tried to format EmuNAND and update again to 8.1, error not solved.
Tested with Pokemon Y and Smash Bros EUR updates.

Change the channel on your router, I think when i had this issue i changed from 1 to 11, also make sure you didnt set it up to block nintendo servers.
I have the channel set to "Auto", what would be a recommended channel for this?
Also, I have the WPA encryption set to TKIP+AES, would this affect to the eShop connectivity?

Well, I changed my channel to 11, I previously had channel 6. I will edit this post with the results.
EDIT: Still have the error. 3 lines of "balls" and then no more.

Make sure if is not your SD damaged or something like that.
If you really think is your connection try to Change your router DNSs to the "Google Public DNS", i can't really give you instructions on that because it is Router dependent. Make sure to backup your Configuration before doing anything, since if you do it wrong the internet connection will not work. Wifi channel is country dependent, the one pre-configured should be the right one.

Choose the download later option, then put your 3DS to sleep on the home screen for a little while. That's the only way I can download anything with emunand.

OK, thanks.
Edit: Doesn't work, stops at a 5% download, even if I leave the console in sleep mode for over 1 hour.
Edit2: Tomorrow I will try to format EmuNAND again, and backup only the saves, after creating the EmuNAND and updating I will try to use eShop.
Edit3: Now it doesn't even update. Help me please.

You never did a backup of the full EmuNAND?

I just found a article and even Nintendo recommends the "Google Public DNS", follow those instructions:

http://en-americas-support.nintendo...a_id/217/~/how-to-manually-enter-dns-settings

A DNS is the server that gives you the webpages, if you ask for gbatemp it will give you gbatemp, but to be honest is really strange that just nintendo servers are blocked, so i really think is other problem, hopefully will solve with just that.

Make you are ALWAYS on emunand, you can update realnand by accident, also remember that if you enter the options the exploit will stop working and you need to apply again.

On my 3DS after creating the 4.x emunand i made a Blue folder with the letter "R" on the real nand to know when i'm on real Nand, i also deleted the wifi settings from the real nand, only my emunand have wifi settings.

Now it doesn't even update, it gives me an error when it's almost complete.
I formatted both EmuNAND and SysNAND, created the EmuNAND multiple times and still can't update from 4.4 to 8.1.

I only have wifi settings on emuNAND.
I will try Google's DNS.
EDIT: Not even with Google's DNS, I can't update.
Is there a new version, online Nintendo doesn't work or my internet connection is f*cked?

This is technical but worth a try if you understand. If you can access the config in your router, there is an option for DMZ. Try placing your 3DS IP in there and enable. This puts the 3dS "outside" the firewall and has fixed online issues for me in the past.

If you don't know your IP. Go onto the DHCP page and view current leases.

I did that also, same result. Update meter doesn't rise.
I don't know what to do anymore.
Edit: I put my 3DS's MAC to bypass firewall restrictions, looks like now updates.
Edit: I couldn't be more wrong. Error again.
