I recently got into using this with the only very select few games i would like to play on ngc before i re-buy them (lost all in fire once)

but i ran into an issue with 2 games, 1 of which explained the error -nfl 2k3- so i just deleted it. The other being one i really want to play (seeing how i can use game saves on ngc to have all levels open) is Sonic Gems Collection
The release is
Pal/multi/working for internal wii

BUT when i go to start it, it shows dios mios screen then the green screen. Stays green for a while then black for a few seconds then back to green. Ultimately staying either on the green screen or black with no progress.

Now everything is updated and only thing i can think of would be any different if at all would be switching from the DML im using to DM

I also dont like that even though i have 20-30gb free on my ext hd formated to fat32 with the right sized clusters it wont let me install any ngc games to that hd. They are went to my SD card

I have never been able to get Sonic Gems working on Dios Mios. It's a tricky game because the three main games use different dol files.

It works with Nintendont, but even then you have to use the old v1.127 because it is broken with the current release.

Read something a while back saying that with collection games like sonic gems collection, that for dios mios/lite you need to have a disc inside of the system for it to work.

Yea it worked with ND but froze on Sonic CD as i was going through them each. It loads the main.dol and it started fine
Pretty sure its the newest ND as well.

I've always had a disc in when loading backups, but i tried again/made sure and still green screen via usb loader

Does this game work alot better via neogamma?

I just tried a untouched/not trimmed backup of sonic gems collection ntsc-u and the latest version of dios mios/lite 2.11. I managed to get the game to load by going into the main dios mios game loader called DIOS-MIOS Booter. In the options section you will see different settings.

Go to page 3 and turn "No Disc" option from on to off. In usb loader gx i did not see a option for No Disc so you have to change it from DIOS-MIOS Booter. after that and you insert a disc then the game loads fine from both usb loader gx and DIOS-MIOS Booter. Each game that i tried would load up and work like normally.

The No Disc setting might effect all games not just sonic gems collection. Also the disc i used is a actual nintendo gamecube disc to keep inside the disc drive while sonic gems collection is playing.
(Edit) Also used a random dvd movie i had around. Turns out it can be any disc inside of the wii and it will work.

I have no experience with neogamma so i have no idea about that.

Also this last bit might not be helpful at all but as a last option. If you can not get the gamecube version to work there are 2 different versions of sonic gems collection for PS2 if you have a PS2. A PAL region and a NTSC J region versions of the game. That or you can emulate nearly every game from sonic gems collection except sonic r and sonic the fighters using emulators on the nintendo wii itself.

So the game worked using the loader itself and the No disc setting turned off (didn't try it on)
But it did not work after changing setting to off with USB Loader GX

As far as i know there is no option to turn it off in usb loader gx that is why i turned it off beforehand in the main dios-mios booter. Are you using the newest version of usb loader gx?

Where can i find the latest revisions of it? All i see is outdated ones from 2012 on google code and its thread here with no dates or download links.
-also seen that the installation of ngc games to my sd card could be caused by using an older loader too.
