I've got an MT-Card, is there any way to dump official 3DS cartridge saves?

Weird thing also happened today, I used the Gateway Launcher.dat to dump Animal Crossing, and when I launched the game from my MT-Card, it had my save file embedded in the game, My character/all my items were there, so not sure if it does this automatically already...

To answer:

#1 using the GW FW will let you do that. At your risk obviously.
#2 AC is Card2/NAND, save is stored inside the cartridge/rom. Working as intended.

you can dump the save using the gateway save dumper......animal crossing is nand saving so the save is on the same chip as the rom

for the record, the saves off retail carts will only work with gateway if they are 512kb....same most likely applies to MT

Yes, you can do everything with the GW firmware except play roms with it.

A. you need to insert a genuine gateway cart to enter gateway mode
B. MT is running a modded gateway firmware so it wont work as an original

you can still use all the lovely gateway features that dont need the card inserted to use, such as dumping roms and cart saves

Keep in mind that more recent retail games use different save encryption, so if the cart's been played on anything but Gateway in Classic mode (don't know if MT has something equivalent) the saves won't work with a ROM even if you dump them..

and a final note for the saves to work, you have to use them with a dump of the cart they came from, i.e you can't dump a save and use it on a downloaded rom, it has to be played with a dump of the same cart in .3dz format
