I'm looking for some help. I formatted my micro sd card to Fat 32 and put the files from the blue card on it. Then I put the Launcher.dat file in it. Everything worked fine until it says to update the gateway 3ds card, where it says ERROR.

Launcher.dat goes in your SD card (not Micro).

Sorry, I did put the Launcher.dat into the 3ds sd card. I don't really know whats wrong.

I used 192kb which was the default when using a 32gb card. I looked on a Microsoft article and it says default for 256mb-32gb is 32kb but 32gb-256tb is 192kb.

So far so good as I have tried about a dozen roms both trimmed and not. Typically in HD use the bigger clusters are better for larger and sequenceual files and smaller are better for numerous small files. Not sure it will matter much for this use but I am using a 32gb class 10 so everything seems plenty snappy.

I'd wait until a full release if I were you, or at least a public version of this beta. Just in case

Both Gateway and MT-Card have proven that they are capable of providing updates and new features. They are both great cards with similar features so you should get whichever one you like more. As long as you don't get a clone (R4/3DSLink), you should be fine. If you're not in any hurry, you can wait a month or two for evo-3ds which will have support for e-shop games, which may or may not be available for MT-Card/Gateway anytime soon.

The Blue card is for the exploit, to enable access to Gateway, if you are already using earlier versions of Gateway, you don't need to do this again.

The card that is being updated is the Red Card and whats being updated is the firmware built into that card. So when you are prompted to enter the Gateway card you enter the Red Card

Thanks for your replies guys. The only Nintendo hack I've ever done is Wii SoftMod, I'm much more experienced with Sony side of things.

I think I'm going to go for a Gateway, because it apparently ships from UK so I can get it quicker .

Im having trouble getting my old Emunand made with 2.0b2 to work with the new 2.0 update.
Anyone else having this problem?

When i start up the exploit it passes the GW screen, but then goes all black and freezes.

I got it to work without the old emunand but i would like to use the old one because i have friends and Miis saved on it already.

how many times have you tried to update ur gw?
I needed 3 times: 1st gave this error, 2nd frozen and 3rd went well.

try it some times.

It's been reported many times already that once you use Omega you cannot go back!!

im not talking about using the old launcher. i know that.
Im talking about injecting the emunand i used on 2.0b2 to use on 2.0.
When i try to use it i get a black screen so i just reformatted the emunand and it works.

sorry to hear that some are experiencing problems, mine worked well in one update. i hope there is a workaround.
