Today there was a marathon going on in boston....

Ahh screw it, take it away CNN:

Two bombs struck near the finish line of the Boston Marathon on Monday, killing two people and injuring at least 28.

The explosions sent smoke billowing into the air at Copley Square, turning a site of celebration into a mess of destruction.

"It felt like a huge cannon," a witness told CNN about one of the blasts.
Authorities in Boston have found other explosive devices that they were working to dismantle, a federal law enforcement source told CNN. The devices were "low flashpoint," and did not appear to have shrapnel inside them, the source said.

Security in New York and Washington for other marathons have upped the security. One freaky little thing to note though is:

Authorities in Boston have found other explosive devices that they were working to dismantle, a federal law enforcement source told CNN. The devices were "low flashpoint," and did not appear to have shrapnel inside them, the source said.

So it was a planned attack basically.

BUT!

Naw, a delivery guy was just walking down that path and accidentally dropped the armed bombs - they were actually meant to be delivered to the local coal mine, the wind accidentally concealed them with leaves and assorted trash, what a terrible accident-- of course it was planned, no sh*t, Sherlocks. :tpi:

Ahh, American news agencies... always professional.

Planned as in they were put there ahead of time and not just dumped there at the last second -__- Silly human.
Pic is broken.

That still entails planning it, especially judging from their location. One does not simply arm a bomb without planning to do so. :D

EDIT: I simply find it insulting to the readers and their intelligence - the fact that the attack was planned is painfuly obvious.

Apparently the JFK library had a fire the same time one of the bombs went off but it is still unknown if it was related.

Edit: Was unrelated to the bombings, CBS news confirmed it.

Well then you shouldn't take it so seriously and personal.

Let's be honest, the person or persons who did this, it's nothing but a cowardly act. It's almost as bad as the trailer park down the road from me, two people broke in, robbed an old lady in her house, like a 90 year old lady, and then killed her. That's nothing but a cowardly act.
