When I first jailbroke my iphone 4, it was smooth. But unfortunely I installed SiriPort then tried to uninstall which resulted in a apple logo loop. So I restored my phone then jailbroke again. I was dumb enough to install SiriPort again and uninstalled again. Restored and jailbroke. Again. However after this jailbreak once it was finished, iTunes would not connect to my iphone. I would connect it and wait like 5 minutes and an error would say that iTunes could not connect to this iPhone because an unknown error occurred. I freaked out and started reading the Internet google searches I made. Somewhere it said that if you hold down the home button and plug it in (recovery mode) it would get iTunes to recognize it. So I tried it. It worked. Halfway. In the middle of the restore it would freeze, say an error occurred, and my phone would return to the iTunes recovery mode screen. I thought it was the end for my iphone. But a simple reboot of my computer finished restoring my phone. I'm actually afraid to rejailbreak again because I fear something like this will happen again. And my solution might not work.

So have you experienced any iTunes errors after jailbreaking with evasi0n?
You can try to convince me to rejailbreak, you might be the one to do that.
Also, is my solution one that will always work?

Based on what you've written here, here's a tip: DON'T INSTALL SIRIPORT.

But in all seriousness, as long as you don't try anything too risky with your phone after jailbreaking, you'll probably be fine. Siriport and other "Siri substitutes" are usually VERY buggy, and they are known to cause MANY problems during installation and usage. I was considering using it myself, but decided against it because the risks aren't worth it. Either way, most likely you'll be okay jailbreaking it, but I would wait for others' input on this as well; this is just my opinion, haha.

Thanks for the reply I appreciate it. Have you experienced an iTunes restore error when trying to restore a jailbroken device?
