I remember Nyko was supposed to be working on this rather ultimate accessory for those of us with standard 3DS's... it would have combined the Circle Pad, an extended battery, and be a hard case to put the system in, and was supposed to be about the same price as I paid for the battery I have in mine when I first bought it.

It was supposed to come out this past October, but nobody seems to have it or know when they'll get it - if at all.

What gives? Is another company going to bring it out, or what happened?

... Mother*expletive*er!

My girl and I both have 3DS's and I know I at least was looking forward to it. I have no desire to pick up any of the Resident Evils or MGS 3D after how difficult it was for me to play it with the standard controls... or Kingdom Hearts for that matter. At the same time, I didn't buy a 3DS to have PSP-style battery life either.

Mother-gobbling ass-burgers, man! This thing would have been perfect for me!:hateit:

the fuck? do you really believe that the circlepad makes such a difference?
have you ever tried using the normal circle pad pro?
the location of the second stick right next to your actual action buttons really dont make this such a great thing.

also, kingdom hearts plays wonderful without a second stick.

It's clunky as hell for me with just the stock controls, especially with Metal Gear. WAYYYYY too many bullshit detections and "!" moments to even bother.

And if you've seen the pics of that Power Pad Pro, there is a bit of closer spacing between the second stick and the action buttons; meaning it's likely intended to try and remedy the fail that is the standard Nintendo Circle Pad Pro.

I thought I saw somewhere that there would be a Circle pad pro XL out for the release of Monster hunter Tri Ultimate. But I dont know if it was an official site or just something someone was guessing

There should be one out right about now :)

But yea, with me, I'd want the Circle Pad Pro because the majority of the games made for 3DS that I would want actually do use it. But I hate how the standard CPP Nintendo makes also blocks the ability to use any of the extended battery packs out there, especially Nyko's excellent battery for the system.

Maybe I was spoiled with the DS lite's ridiculous battery life per charge, but 3 hours of battery per charge just doesn't cut it for me. Well, sad as it seems, if someone does this for the 3DS XL, I'd just as well end up going to that instead. What's funny is then I saw an energizer-brand battery for the 3DS that was said to be compatible with Nintendo's cradle, and even added three spots to put game cards in. Funny how after I found out it was cancelled I can't find that one anymore.
