I remember the first guy to take my side, and declare me to be a decent person.
That was Toni Plutonij.
I had been lurking here for a year, and had finally created an account simply to mess around with people in the You Are Banned thread.
Of course as a newcomer I didn't get a very warm reception, but Toni was open enough to see that I wasn't a simple troll, that I wasn't a moron, and that I wasn't out to attack anybody, so he played along with my antics.

He probably doesn't recall it,
but I certainly do.

And to this day I'm absolutely honored to call him My Friend.

I met Toni outside of the EoF, but he's the first true friend I had here, as well. Because of him, I was able to make friends with badass people including TrolleyDave.

Speaking of which, Dave's threads and posts made the EoF fucking awesome, too.

nope. All out of ideas (for the EoF, at least.) Honestly, I don't make threads to tick people off. I simply love making people laugh. And if I made one good EoF thread that thrived for awhile, I would not make another one for at least a week.

Let it go, dear. Elders don't live forever. A new generation is always necessary.
And as unpalatable as they may seem right now: all children grow up.

I remember becoming iFish's friend. I might have even been his first real friend here at GBAtemp.
He was an awkward kid. (and he'll tell you that himself) Always saying the wrong thing, seemingly stalkerish, talking when he should have been listening...
If it had been only me that looked after him, he wouldn't be the pillar of our community that he is today.
I had help, there; From p1ngpong, if you believe it or not.

And these days I feel quite vindicated for my support when he was unpopular.

He still has a lot of people that dislike him....I still have a lot of people that dislike me....PG still has a lot of people that dislike her.

But without any of these names, this wouldn't be the GBAtemp you all know, and (hopefully) love.

This is all heartwarming.

Here's one of my favorites: back when I didn't know about the EoF and I posted threads (decent ones) elsewhere, one of them got moved to the EoF. I was a bit concerned when at the top of the page was Vulpes' welcoming announcement, but after going through some of the threads I got to thinking "hey, these people are like me. They like video games and making others laugh. This is where I belong." then (I don't know if you know it or not) I was extremely sick, and ended up missing a lot of school, and was in the hospital quite a few times. But reading the hilarious threads here always helped me cheer up. (no I'm not making that up.) I think it was after I recovered that I attempted my first threads. Like many of my threads they werent very well thought out and crashed. But (I think) I've been getting funnier and better, slowly but steadily.

And that's a couple of my favorite memories here.
