You don't need the source package unless you plan on using another loader like postloader or wiiflow. The gamecube games go in /games, if you're using Tueidj's loader. In postloader they go in similar folders to DM. I don't know how Fix94 has Wiiflow handling the games.

Also, I found another game that's not working, Tueidj. Please see page 1.

After looking at a handful of game disks, I've noticed that on the underside of the disk (where the data is) around the inner ring is what appears to be the game ID, as well as another unique string. For example, the underside of my super mario sunshine disc has the following text:

IFPI LL06 (common to all gc discs so far) A03K2203 (unique) DOL-GMSE-0-00 USA (GAME ID?) S0

Could the "A03K2203" be manually keyed in at first launch to verify the game? I don't know if this number shows up anywhere in software, or even if its consistent between all copies of the game. But if it is, could it be used for those with new wiis or those with no working drives?

Just curious, are you able\willing to share your plans to eventually support the horizontal Wii's (i.e. how to verify images without being able to read GC discs)? Is it safe to assume that users would need to verify the games on an older model Wii before being able to play them on a horizontal Wii? Thanks again dude.

Thanks for asking, i was thinking about the same thing and was gonna ask :P

Can anyone answer my question?

really dude? you demand an answer after no one answering you for 20 minutes?

Horizontal wii can read GC games just like all other wii's, they are just lacking the memory card and controller ports.

I think it would be cool to see a different method of AP. For the new drives that spit out gamecube discs, and for other wiis with failed drives.

They can read gc games just fine. failed drives .....well they are broken so get them fixed.
The point of a USB/SD solution is to become independent from disc drives and physical media, and thus avoid the problems associated with them (like disc drives breaking and discs becoming unreadable). Why would I seek out somebody to fix my drive and pay them money, spend time learning to fix it myself and buy parts, or buy a new Wii; just so that I can use the very solution to my problem (which, if I fixed it, would no longer be a problem needing a solution).
Then Devolution will not be for you, because you always will need to have the disc YOU dumped the game from to verify it against, it's an anti piracy thingy.
Devolution is not intended to be a solution to broken drives. It's to enable the convenience that comes with the fact that you can store all the games YOU OWN in one place without having to swap YOUR DISCS. at a certain point it will support wiimote controls, thus helping people that do not own GC controllers to play their games. Either way you'de have to buy or lend the games and have a working drive. Devolution is more of an optional thing, than it's mandatory.
The 'normal' way of loading gamecube games on wii is NOT problematic per sé.

- GBA connectivity to a GBA emulator via TCP/IP

So, if me and my brother wanted to play 4 swords, we could use our laptops as the "GBA"s with the Wii as the host???? Wirelessly???? I know that's in the future but, geez! And I thought Dolphin and VBA-M working together was crazy, even though they never worked together at all very well!

I just wanna say thanks to Tueidj for this. It's working great (although I've only tried two games so far). I wasn't able to get DIOS MIOS V2 to work at all for me. So this is a nice alternative. I'm just glad I didn't sell any of my old gamecube games! I only have two games I don't technically own (soul calibor 2 & tales of symphonia) and they work through DML. I hope someone adds this to USB loader GX soon.

Now I have a question about save game data. Is it possible to transfer the save data from a gamecube memory card to the devolution virtual memory card?

wait since when dolphin and vba-m can be used in duo for gc-gba connection with it ?

For a while now. Here's a video. I've done it myself but yea, it's very unstable, at least on my part, this video seems to be doing better than my attempt.

The purpose of the second package is so people can make their own loader or incorporate it into existing programs. The source code is documented pretty well so I don't think there should be any problems, but if a game isn't working make sure to test it with the sample loader before reporting it here - I don't want to deal with other people's bugs.
I don't understand this; does this mean you don't intend to improve compatibility???

he means if loader X doesnt run a game, dont post it here b/c its not his problem.. if the game however doesnt run in his provided loader for deevo, then report it here..

This looks interesting enough, although I'm not sure if I'll use it myself.

Regardless, I approve of the hard work. :O
