Gaming Super Mario 3D Land help

I have been play through SM3DL lately, just finished trying to get the crown stage, did every level with Mario and Luigi, Got every Star Medal, Touched the top of every flagpole, got the special ending(the one with Peach in a Tanooki suit, right?), game goes to title screen, and i only have 4 stars on my file. I have checked every level several times for an error on my part but every single one of them has a : (M) (L) Goldpole, star on map, and all star medals filled in. What did i do wrong?

Did you really finish the last boss battle with both mario and luigi?

I know this might sound insulting (but I promise I don't mean it that way): You did all the special worlds with those fulfillments as well, right?

i think you need to beat level 8 Bowser's Castle (a 2nd time) after beating Special World 8's Bowser Castle

IIRC, you can still get all 5 stars regardless of how many times you die. However, to get 5 GLOWING stars, you need to beat the game completely without triggering any superguide items.

Yes all special worlds completed with same requirements and World 8 Bowser part 2 with Mario and Luigi and top of the goal

It's a pain, but go through every level to check for the "L's" and "M's"

Thats what I read. I didnt even bother with stars, completion just makes the game useless.

This is wierd but I went back and did the final level again with Mario(who already did it, for certain reasons), when I got back to the file screen, I had five stars and the crown stage. Thanks for helping me everybody!

I think he's trying to say that the supposed requirements for "completion" aren't worth it. I mean, to complete the game, you basically have to grind through every level in the game TWICE MINIMUM, probably 3 times. You need to beat it with both brothers (That's twice), plus you need to collect all star coins and top flagpoles (that's possible an extra time at least). And that's even if you dont include the special worlds, which are just slightly re-arranged versions of the levels in the main game.

If the game is actually fun the whole 100% of the time and doesnt turn into mindless grinding then ill 100% it, but other times just beating it is good enough for me, unless theres an awesome weapon or something.

Personally, unless its debug mode I don't want it.

I think there might be a save dongle you can buy that can help you accomplish that, but I'm not sure... Google "3DS save dongle"

Unless something has changed lately, the save dongle won't let you use somebody else's save for Mario, only your own. They changed the encryption.
