Am I the only one to find this far too expensive?...

Too expensive? CPP alone is for 19.99, this is for 29.99 plus an external battery and protection, how much do you exactly want it for?

Yep, my fault. I searched it too quickly and found it at... 170$, which is ridiculously expensive. So ridiculously expensive that it is in fact 29.99$. :)

Sorry for that, 30 bucks is juuuuust the right price!

Are there any photos of the back of this device? I want to see if this covers the game slot.

It does look quite nice but... I'm worried that the peripheral might feel like a tank.

With this attached to the 3DS it would prolly be about the length of the vita.
Although i do like this cpp i feel it could have been made more uniform to the 3DS and have
all the same features.Me and my friend were talking and he thinks the idea i have would be a better fit
it'll just be a little bulkier but not long at all who knows prolly sum other company would do it the way
i see it possible or maybe i can write to nyko or another company about it =]

Still irritated about the "off centering" aspect of it, but I understand it can't really be helped, so I won't complain. I seriously might buy this, just so I can actually play games like Resident Evil: Revelations or Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D.

**EDIT**
The main thing that MIGHT stop me from buying it is if the circle pad feels to different from the one on the 3DS... but I'll check the reviews for that when it comes out.

Sooo...basically PP+ users have been abandoned...

What do you mean abandoned? Your PP+ is going to just stop working because this has been released? No more 'updates' for it?

It's a battery pack. I don't really know what firther support you expected?
I know Im hoping for much. But maybe a cpp that FITS around the powerpak+?

Yes you're hoping for much. Peripherals are sold as is and you should not expect future devices to be made to work with existing products.

Besides which, economies of scale say that due to the highly reduced potential market for such a device, it would work out more expensive to produce a PP+ compatible device.

Still not getting this. CPP for me looks awful. This looks forgivable though. I can play my games without a second circle pad. But the x3 battery life is a nice addition. If only they can make a different replacement battery with the same x3 battery life that is not supposed to be attached to the 3DS to make it bulky, then thats another story.

Here's a link to the official page for it. $30 isn't that bad. I wouldn't mind buying this if it didn't cover up my Zelda 3DS so well. I want to be able to show off my decals. :( Also I hope it doesn't impede the game slot like the CPP but I highly doubt that.
With import fees and taxes it is likely S$45 - 50.

Who cares? It has a battery extender.

MY MONEY.

Attaches to the back of the 3DS system, no tools or modification required

AH HAHAHAHA i see how it extends the battery, that is cleaver.

remember that charging cradle that comes with the 3DS? remember how that connects to the two copper things beside the charging plug? yeah, thats how.
