didnt see anything about it posted yet, so..

Via Twitter, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata has said, "When you use two, the framerate halves to 30 frames per second."
So that means all those 60fps Wii U games Nintendo has been banging on about slow to 30fps if you fire up a second Wii U GamePad
some kotaku hating in there.

I am given to understand it drops the framerate on the GamePad screen, not the "main" video on the TV.

Exactly, it's probably because the ni-fi they're using to stream the video content probably can't handle what would essentially be 120fps when using two pads.
I remember Namco being very happy when Nintendo finally got full 60fps running and made it possible to stream over further distances for gameplay outside your living room..

https://www.youtube....h?v=ZGBsjYeNd5k

watching something like this makes it show its a clear noticable difference

yes im being sarcastic
make sure you watch ing HD
Youtube is restricted to 30FPS. Of course you won't see the difference.

There is a clear as day difference with 30FPS and 60FPS. Just look here.

still not that big a deal
if its only the tiny screen too it doesnt matter
UK TV is only 24fps anyway

Seems like a small lose for a great system and what I'm getting, but I mean look at Metroid Prime on GCN than look at it on Wii much more smoother but honestly how many people are really truly going to complain, I doubt many! I worked at Gamestop for quite a while and things like this were what we called "minor complaints" that didn't stop any one from buying what they had intended to buy.

Big N know's all to well what their doing and mark my words this system will sell like hot cakes just like the Wii did and is still doing.

The difference between 30 and 60 fps isn't that big of a deal.
Sure 30fps is a little bit more blurry and choppy but when you're playing a game the difference would be negligible.
There really is no good reason to make a big deal out of it.

People tend to naturally adjust to 30 fps without issues as a matter of fact most of the games that you play on your PS3 and Xbox 360 play at 30 fps, 60 is just butter and not a standard yet

Games run at 60 frames per second on console. The only time frame rate issues are noticeable is when the frame rate drops to less than 10 fps. Did yall know films run at 23 fps? Do you notice any issues with frame lag in the theatre? Nope, u don't. 30 fps won't be an issue at all.

This isn't a big issue. When I can get a WiiU I only plan on getting two game pads. One for myself and one for the wifey. This is perfectly fine. Aside from that It's high time that I purchase another Wii Remote+. Maybe I'll go for a pink remote and nunchuck combo.

Everyone needs to stop propagating this stupidity about films and TV using 24fps. Films and TV use huge amounts of motion blur so it isn't noticeable. Go run a game at 24fps, it will be unplayably bad.
