Got my hands on an XPloder GB

So I got my hands on ab XPloder GB. After successfully obtaining the GS Ball on my English Crystal, I was wondering if I could re-enable the Goldenrod City event, or just simply buy and activate the event.

My current codes (E) don't work on my (J) game, is it possible to convert the codes across the region, or does anyone have XPloder GB codes for Japanese Crystal?

There is a hack of the english version that restores the celebi event and replaces the pokemon center in goldenrod city with the comunnication center. I can't give you the link, google it.

Or just put this gameshark code in the english version, in order to unlock the Celebi event: 91C089DA
then talk to Kurt.

Anyway, you won't be able to use the features of the communication center in the japanese version, it only works with a special connection between the gameboy color and some japanese cellphones.

I know, but I want to find a code that will enable the nurse to give me the GS Ball as I leave, or a code that works on the Japanese version to buy the GS Ball.

You have a complicated problem. You got the GS Ball on the (U) version but your playing the (J) version, trying to use cheats from the (E) region. It seems you should stick with the (U) version. Using (U) cheats. Or use a hex editor by following this instruction: This event can be activated by setting the byte at 0x3E44 in a regular (v1.0 U) savegame to 0x0B. I wish someone had the rom from Tauwasser that had all the patches worked in or Nintendo/Game Freak didn't pull crap like this.

How about this:
Infinitely many GS / Balls or Celebi
Go into any market and activate this code:
0173F1D0 (you can now buy the GS BALL).
Then go to KURT. Activate this code now:

914089DA (This assumes the GS KURT BALL). Come back after one day (wait a day). You still need to activate this code: 91C089DA (KURT runs out and gives you back the GS BALL) Now go into the Stone Oak Forest. Wenn has worked fine for the other trees! Now simply go to the shrine and the GS BALL plug. this cheat can be repeated as often as it will appear again and again, getting you a level 30 Celebi.

I'm playing on an actual cart, so hex editing my save is out of the question.
The English version is fine, I've got that working fine.
It's the Japanese version I'm wondering about.

EDIT (because bumping is shameless, I hope I don't have to resprt to it): I've read around and found claims that Gameshark GB Codes work on the XPloader GB. Is this true?

I've never heard about XPloader GB, let alone seen one. :/
The only Gameshark for GB/C I've ever used was this one.
And even then, codes for Japanese versions are always hard to find unless you know Japanese.
