XFlak,

Is ModMii too complex to be a portable app? Can/will it ever be one?

it is portable, runs from its own folder, or are you meaning a vmware type portable app, a single.exe with no extracted support files?
single exe. I have run ModMii from my SD card on several diff computers, I know that works.

@LWares87 Thanks for making XFlak really angry that you just gave out his secret.

As previously mentioned, ModMii can be run from a portable device, so it is a portable app. There's no point to making it a single *.exe, it doesn't make it any more portable. And donating has nothing to do with how ModMii is structured, in fact I actually have no idea what LWarez87 is referring to.

OK then.
I swear that making ModMii, a fully integrated portable application was tried before and we all know how that turned out, in the end. Lol :L

6.1.0 Changelog

  • Letterbomb was replaced by Wilbrand. Wilbrand was created by giantpune and he has given ModMii the unique privilege of being the first to use and share Wilbrand. Wilbrand, named after the inventor of TNT, is a discless Wii Message Board exploit, or "bomb" if you will. ModMii users will no longer need to be instructed to manually download the Letterbomb exploit; instead ModMii will prompt users for their Wii's unique MAC address and build the exploit on the fly. Unlike Letterbomb, ModMii will only require a wifi connection the first time it constructs the Wilbrand exploit. ModMii will only build the Wilbrand exploit for 4.3 system menu's; however, Wilbrand is supported on all system menu's from 3.0 to 4.3. The reason ModMii does not offer Wilbrand exploits for system menu's 3.0 - 4.2 is because bannerbomb, another discless exploit, can be used instead and it does not require knowing your Wii's MAC Address. Wilbrand is available on ModMii's Download Page 2 as well as other wizard\guide functions. A big thank you goes out to giantpune for creating Wilbrand and allowing ModMii to share it with the world.
  • ModMii's forwarder dol builder and all of ModMii's supported forwarder channels were updated from v11c to v12 and now support 3TB+ hard drives. Thanks for this goes out to FIX94 and the WiiXplorer team.
  • Fixed bug that sometimes occurred when building an "Advanced cIOS" from ModMii's Advanced Downloads page. If a new IOS slot was not identified then version number patches were not applied. Thanks to JoostinOnline for spotting and reporting this bug.
  • Fixed rare bug where the wrong guide was generated if installing a custom theme without also using MMM to install at least one WAD.
  • sysCheck updated from 2.1.0.b17 to 2.1.0.b18 on ModMii's download page 2.
  • WiiFlow-Mod was renamed back to WiiFlow at the request of the WiiFlow team.
  • Other minor changes.

Hey, I'm creating uneek+di/emulated nand using modmii.
It seems that everything may be finished, blue bar is full cmd prompt screen is gone.. but it hangs on

'Modmii Classic Working...'

Is it safe to just abort after this because it seems frozen.
Have left it on for 20mins and nothing.

If the ModMii Classic window itself closed, then yes it's safe. If this happens to you again please let me know, but it was most likely a fluke occurrence.

Tried it on 2 different PC's and got the same result.
Mind you I was on 6.0.7. Just realized you updated it.

Thanks for the quick reply

If it keeps happening, let me know exactly what you're trying to do so i can follow the exact same steps to try to reproduce the error.

From what I remember
-Main Menu
-Select SNEEK operation
-Select Both SNEEK and NAND (1st time user reccomended)
-Follow steps (Select all)
-Direct path to WADS when prompted
-Begin downloading everything
-Halfway hangs in classic menu, ctrl+c to regenerate
-Showmiiwads opens up and installs wads?
-classic menu closes
-downloads seem finished
-'Next is still grayed out

I have the folders COPY to USB & COPY to SD ready but no instructions on what do with all of the files in those folders so I'm kind of at a loss now. Might have to just wing it.

that's really not specific enough... I'd like to know the path of additional WADs you've specified, as well as all your other selections (including what type of neek your building, ie. uneek2o+di, etc.)

You say ModMii Classic hangs, but what does it hang on?

Try the same thing but using ModMii Classic instead of ModMii Skin.

After ModMii's done setting up neek for u, it should take you to a screen with all or some of the following tips:

* If you have problems with S/UNEEK or Mighty Channels, copy cert.sys
from an original nand dump to your emulated nand's sys folder.

* When launching any form of SNEEK for the first time,
it could take a long time to load the System Menu,
but it will be much quicker the second time around.

* Install the neek2o channel using MMM then launch the channel
in order to start NEEK. You can also use this channel to return
to your real NAND.

* If you have BootMii as Boot2, SNEEK can be started immediately
when the Wii powers on by renaming the BootMiiNeek folder to
BootMii on the SD Card.

* When using SNEEK+DI or UNEEK+DI, you can access the Game/DI Menu
by pressing "1" on the WiiMote. To access other settings
(including Region Options), you must press "+" from within the DI Menu.

* To add Games to the Game/DI Menu, you can use ModMii to extract
Wii Games to your FAT32 USB External Hard Drive.
neek2o is also able to load games from USB:\WBFS
which means you can also use WiiBackupManager.

* ShowMiiWads can be used to decrypt your real Wii's BootMii NAND
dump (nand.bin) to use as an emulated NAND, and it can add custom
channels/WADs to an emulated NAND.
ShowMiiWads is available on ModMii's Download Page 2.

* For more SNEEK info, like formatting a USB Hard Drive for SNEEK,
or installing the HBC to an emulated NAND, visit: tinyurl.com/SNEEK-DI

think I'm having an issue with the theme feature...downloaded original/default 4.3U theme for my families 4.3U wii, and menuify says it cannot install because it's for the wrong system menu or something like that.will do further testing later...

Thanks, I installed the neek2o wad and booted the channel.
It says it will take a long time so i'll leave it on for a bit but if nothing happens and if I did something wrong along the way, I'll restart the whole procedure regardless.

that doesn't sound right. It's could be a bug with mymenuify mod. I know scooby is planning an update soon, but I don't think he mentioned a bugfix for your specific issue.

@[member='Augusta'],
don't get smart with adding a that custom folder of wads. Everything except for maybe diosmioslitesv1.3.wad is redundant. Only add WADs if u know what they are and what they do. Also, what OS r u using? It's working fine for me, tested on Windows 7 and Windows XP

Bingo :D

If I don't add the wads at that screen, I can always add them later right [emunand]?
Going to try again with v6.1.0 thanks

@Augusta what channel are you using? the one inside mod mii that say's switch 2 uneek (s2u).. that channel doesn't work with neek2o set up. you'll need to get the nswitch.
or go to google code an look up neek2o an grab one of those channels to switch to uneek2o nand.

I see. Yeah neek2o isn't working at all when I boot it up.
I see a red box flash but then I just get black screen and USB drive says 'please wait' endlessly. It could also be because there's only 4 folders in the 'nands' directory but I figured running the program would fill in the rest. Not sure if I should just create empty folders to get the folder structure down. But i'll look up nswitch thanks
