Hacking Documenting Skyward Swords save file.

Hey guys, sorry I haven't updated in a while, just been busy with RL stuff. Got hit pretty hard recently.

My little brother was diagnosed with Diabetes, then I just lost interest in the project for a while, after that i just couldn't find the time for it because of inventory at work (I'm an assembler at Walmart). Now that my life has settled down a bit (for now) I'll be able to work on it again. :D
 
Hey guys, I'm currently in need of a save file with a game thats JUST started (saved at the first bird statue) one just before fighting Demise at 100% (items, chests, quests etc.) but not in hero mode and one ready for the Hero Quest. If you can provide even just ONE file it would be helpful (I can build the full save file myself)

This would help me to see which bytes are used an which aren't.

Also a 100% Hero Quest ready for the fight against Demise would be helpful as well.

I know this a tall order but it would be extremely helpful to me.
 
I didn't even think of looking there for some reason xD thanks manki.

Also, there is absolutely no difference between regions in regards to saves (as i'm sure is already known). So when I implement Save As... I'll have a window so you can select the region so you don't have to manually change the region (or use a cheat to disable the region check).
 
Alright guys, I've made some progress, I can now make new saves, define which room the save will start in (need more research for each area) AND make Hero Mode saves :D
I'm still working on items as we speak. The main thing is I can't find the Hornet :/

Yep, still working hard on this guys. Been working on the GUI and adding features behind the scenes.

Wow, this is impressive! I'd like to request a feature:

Can you make it so that we can edit our best times, high scores, etc.?

I played through Skyward Sword with a few GUI-improving codes (no black bars, less Fi chatter, etc.), and somehow my best time in the goron's mine cart mingame ended up being saved as 00:00.00. It should have saved as 01:03.33.

Sure, since i have most of the non-event stuff documented i should be able to find it if you give me an example and tell me exactly what the time i'm looking for is ;P

Also can people start submitting save files? At various stages of completion this will help aid development also if anyone has experience with REing and wants to help please let me know.
