Ok Sif, I didn't steal somebody's wad and claim it's mine.

We might need to define piracy in this case.
1. the images used are from google image search. Took me hours to edit them. Is this piracy?
2. the animations also were taken from existing ones and edited heavily to suite my goal. Is this piracy?
3.Starnight background image is taken from Nasa. Is this piracy?

This is controversial but I think what I did is fine.

The base your using is still some what illigal as you havent wrote them from scratch but edited existing game banners.

the dispute isnt about piracy for me it all comes down to the fact you stated you made it all in benzin when you clearly didnt
but to go back to the piracy issue if i take your car and change the color and change the seats inside it is it still stealing ???

im not saying using a base is wrong its a good way to learn just dont say you made it all from scratch if all you did was a small edit or 2 in the brlans and changed the pics

I think comparing what I did to stealing cars is not a good analogy. It's more like poetry or music, you can be inspired from other peoples' work but have your own style.
I believe no one except an expert like you diddy can make an A to Z channel completely from scratch.

And I never mentioned making everything from scratch without using base wads, that was clearly a joke when pepxl & joost asked me. I think they took my answer "I did it the hard way using benzin " very seriously.

No one actually gave his opinion about the channel contents (the looks, effects and images) all comments were about stealing berlyns. Don't I deserve some credits you think?

The problem is that you lied about it. It's fine to make a mod of someone else's work, but never say that it was all you. For example, if I claimed that I wrote B.L.I.N.D. (which is a mod of Wii Mod) completely from scratch, that would be very wrong (and even illegal). In reality, only around 10% of the code (maybe less) is my own.

there are plenty that can make channels from a-z, on this forum. an you'll still get busted if you steal poetry or music, even if you put your own little spin on it.
Plagiarism . your still using the background for your own gain.(though you gain nothing, but a smack down.). belive me, i already had to deal with this with my own

You've taken charge of a bunch of projects as if they were your own and seem to be making more enemies than friends. This is a community. Respect the work of others and slow down! You may find devs more willing to guide you and perhaps a little respect coming back your way in the end.

actually making a channel from scratch is quite easy best way to learn is to read and look at others work after 1 to 3 days you could be making good channels from nothing
maybe if you took the time to learn more and keep learning you would be a lot better

@AbdallahTerro You show potential, but nobody trusts what you are doing because you steal credit for large parts of your work. I claimed that Settings Editor GUI was created totally by stfour and myself, not realizing that sysconf.c/sysconf.h weren't part of libogc (although I should have). Thankfully tueidj called me on it before I got into any real trouble. At the time I thought he was being a jerk about it, but I didn't realize how serious my mistake was and am now very glad that he did, because it's made me much more careful.

In short, most of us here have made the mistake of not giving credit (where credit is due) in our early days, so we could understand if this happened just once. The problem is you aren't learning from your mistakes, just defending them.

Ok guys, I'm really not trying to make enemies. On the contrary I'm trying to learn and be friend with everybody here.
I always give credits to whoever helps me complete a post or theme or whatever. You're right I'm very enthusiastic but I think I'll cool down, just give me some time.

I think a big deal was made out of a joke. No one here really believes that such a complex effect can be written in an hour, and as I said I was joking about the benzin part.

I just hope that you can be a bit less serious, and I'm always open to all +ve or -ve comments.

P.S. base wad for the banner is mario sports mix and the second one unknown from rapidshare, for the icons Kung Fu Panda and Bloom Blox.

Because I made them partly from scratch, partly from a legal base, which was in turn made from scratch. I used images from existing base WADs (because I couldn't be bothered making my own graphics seeing as they are there to be replaced anyway). I left the BRLYTs because they were what I wanted, and had been legally made by CountZero (I think it was CountZero). I wrote the BRLANs from scratch. Left the other bits and pieces from the original WADs as they were fine in the condition they were in. I started out with one of the WADder legal bases, which were made completely from scratch by CountZero.

Now you should have some understanding why base .wads are important, you cant just use game banners and swap the images out. Not to be rude but how does it take hours making simple text effects that are done it seconds, unless you mean to edit everything it total....
