I was wondering if anyone has noticed any ingame performance improvements with the different versions of the cios's, better frame rate ect. The new d2x cios have memory footprint and coding improvements but do they correspond to ingame speed improvements or more on the usb loader end. i understand that they won't improve the games framerate beyond the WII's hardware speed. I was more concerned if they lowered speed because of the altercations done to the internal OS and if the newer versions helped alieviate that. I'm running 249 v17 and 250 d2xv6 and all my games work, would upgading to d2xv8 improve performance? Just a thought I had.

the base IOS of your cIOS greatly impacts the speed of your usb-loader, you don't mention the base u have for your installed d2x v6 cIOS, and your rev17 cIOS is base IOS38, which isn't as fast as base 56 when it comes to usb-loading

you can read a lot of other improvements to the d2x cIOSs here:

sorry using base 57 with d2xv6 (for Black Ops ect.) just wondering though if the different cios versions impacted frame rate or ingame performance.

it can, but there probably isn't much difference in speed between d2x v6 and d2x v8 (assuming same base IOS is being compared), that's why I liked you the changelog

but if you install cIOS 249 d2x v8 base 56 overwriting your current cIOS 249 v17 you should see a speed improvement

Since using d2x v8 249[56] and 250[57] mario party 9 loses wiimote synch constantly (I have them hard synched to the wii). I dont know if that's an effect of updating or something else?

d2x v8 is already out?
damn i need to update again lol.
Also generally base 56 is the best, only use base 57 for games that counter base 56.
You've been living under a rock for quite some time now, LOL :)
No he hasn't. It's only been like 2 weeks since v8 came out.
