Why would you need/want to do that?
To mod his wii, of course. He must have purchased one of the newer wii's and must not have an older wiimote.

@OP, purchase an older one or borrow one from a friend.
It has nothing to do with the Wii he owns, it's the remote.

I know it does not directly have anything to do with it, but I was making the assumption that if he has a brand new wiimote, no older wiimotes, and his wii is not soft modded then the likely scenario is that he just purchased this wii very recently.

Lol partially correct...I bought a friends old wii nd he had no controllers so I got me a wiimote plus not knowing of this issue

I got lucky. The Wii Remote + that came with my Wii works with everything perfectly. Those specific remotes are still a bit of a problem though from what I know.
