Konami has just announced that they will be dissolving Hudson Soft on 1st March, bringing to an end a company that's become beloved by gamers over the years for such unforgettable contributions to gaming as the PC Engine/TurboGrafx-16 systems and the ever-popular Bomberman and Star Soldier series.

Well, the name is gone, but the team is likely to be assimilated into Konami itself. It's a matter of nomenclature and expenses, really.

Also, Hudson Soft = Bloody Roar. One cannot forget about this title.

no more bomberman and adventure island NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! those games are the shit. and now there gone all gone *sniff*

BOOOOOOOMBERMAN!
;___________;
I'm pretty sure the most fun I've had with Bomberman was Bomberman Adventure Thingy 2 for the DS. Me and a couple others with flashcarts would play with anybody who didn't have it via Download Play...8 player madness! So why do we need any more bombermans? Like Foxi4 said, it's probably just a name change; they're still making stuff.

If it weren't for Hudson, there'd be no Super Smash Brothers. They made the original and Melee.

That sucks. Hudson has made some really great games. I've had so much fun with the Bomberman series, and I love the Star Soldier series.

Bastards. They do that every time, munch the little publisher and dissolve it. I guess that is life. Business life, that is.
