Skyward Sword had worked perfectly until I got to the Earth Temple Boss Door. The screen fades to black and freezes without any sound. The wii's home menu still works in the game, but when you press "go back to menu", nothing happens. Please Help!

CFG, Latest Build, 249 with an NTFS partition and WBFS folder, d2x v6 base 56 etc.

And what is the source of the game? If any release - which one?

NTSC-U. Got it last Friday.

He means who's release is it, since the game won't be out for 3 more days, you obviously obtained it from a torrent or some other means off the net. If you have the 3 languages, multi3 release, chances are it's the release.

For the record, I've found three things that seem to help this issue:
1. Use 250 as opposed to 249
2. Ensure that 'Block IOS reload' is on.
3. Certain Ocarina cheats will prevent loading into the temple, one in particular seems to be the Infinite Shield code by Glitch.

The game freezes sometimes when it loads a different "world" or when I press the "+" sign to see the map. Using a FAT32 partition on a Western Digital 2TB MyBook.

I found a story of another user with exactly the same problem as I have:
The game worked flawlessly (Usb Loader GX) until i reach the forest (about 3h in the game), i got the fairy slingshot and continue to search for Zelda. But once i go throught the entrance of what it seems a cave, cut-scene and the game freeze.

Any idea where does this come from ?

Run your syscheck results through ModMii and see if it has any update recommendations for you. Failing that, try the wiiflow loader.

His syscheck was done not using the latest version, there's no mention to the base IOS used.
IOS249 could be anything...

It's like users recommending to use IOS250 instead of IOS249 ... Without saying what's installed in these slots.
Users could install anything, even old cIOS.

Also, there's no need of syscheck to run a game, just tell which cIOS type/version/base you use for that game.

I'm using Sushii release (PAL), on PAL Wii, on WBFS partition, USBloaderGX 2.3+ and it's working without freeze.
I played with both cIOS rev17, or d2x[56](I'm using v7a5, but v6 would work just fine).
I'm past the instrument instruction (I'm on the first temple after the instrument).

If it freeze always at the same spot, it could be the ISO's content. Try re-creating the wbfs file (you kept the iso right?).
You can also try another loader (and another version of the loader), another cIOS.
And finally another ISO if it's still freezing at the same spot with all the other tests.

Also, disabled Ocarina or any patches.

Disable Partial/full Nand emulation too.

CFG v70.Yes. I have it.This one I don't know.I suppose it's the latest. If you know the problem is because of that plz give me the file I should install

Like said, the version of the cIOS doesn't matter.
What's important is the "base" used.

You should use either 38, 56 or 57. (recommended 56).
Don't use 58 or another base.

You should check the hack guide you followed, or run syscheck (latest version) or go into a loader which tell you all the currently used cIOS informations (like USBloaderGX > Credit page).
CfgLoader should have a page like that too.

But I'm pretty sure that your IOS249 is already d2x v6 [base 56].
So it's not a IOS problem, more an ISO problem if it freeze at the same place for a lot of users.

Apparently I didn't use the latest version of SysCheck. So here is another SysCheck dump. I am using:
- IOS249[56] (rev 21006, Info: d2x-v6): Trucha Bug, NAND Access, USB 2.0
- Configurable USB Loader 70
- WiiBackupManager-0.4.1Build66 to transfer ISO to FAT32 partition on Western Digital 2TB
- hashes of ISO:

CRC32: D7AC6BDD
MD5: F32BD185CB71EC9D87D2A65C9385D3D8
SHA-1: 6E2DD566757ADFD970E24E2DA3CEC81FEDD4087B

ModMii states that I need to update:
* IOS11v16174(IOS60v6174[FS-ES-NP-VP])
* IOS20v16174(IOS60v6174[FS-ES-NP-VP])

You don't need to update the original IOS, ModMii is just telling you that you don't have the latest versions in case you want to play the original disc from Wii Game channel.
If you don't have the latest, it will prompt you to update.
The IOS you are missing (30, 40, 50) are used for old System menu only, you don't need them anymore.
I don't know about IOS52.

To play the game from USBloaders, then the original IOS are not needed at all. The game will use the cIOS only. (I'm still on 3.2E with outdated official IOS, they are never used so I don't care to update).
So, only your cIOS is important to keep up to date.

Your cIOS249 is already up to date, and using the correct base (Base56).

I think the problem is from the data inside the game image.
Either the dumped IOS has a problem, either it's a problem created by WiiBackupManager when transferring the IOS into WBFS file format.
Maybe you can try another WiiBackupManager version? (I don't know if it's the problem, it's just a possibility I'm thinking of).
I don't know the good MD5 to check it.

I don't think the partition type is important here. It should work fine in WBFS/FAT32 or NTFS.

Your controller is a real one? not a clone?
Same, do you have a Wii Motion+ or a Wiimote+? (just curious to see if there's a relation to the freeze)

Thanks voor de feedback. I've got a Wii Motion+ (to be clear: the old model + the offical extension). I will try a different version of wiibackupmanager (or a complete different tool).

I'm using Wii motion + extension too.

There's certainly something which make the game freeze while it's not freezing for other users.
Maybe the used language? I don't know, I'm still trying to guess what could cause the problem.
I'm playing in French.

I got same problem.
I tried both cIOS249_56_-d2x-v6 and cIOS250_57_-d2x-v6 and every-time the game works at the start but when i saved the game and go back into one of the houses like the sparring hall or knight academy the screen goes black and freeze's.
also i have both the wii motion plus remote and extension and neither of them fix the problem.
I used ios block too but nothing is working for me
also i did these instructions i found on a different forum
''''''I'm assuming you have ripped the game to your external Hard Drive. You will need cIOS d2x v6 with Base 56 installed to run this game. If you haven't installed it, get it from the "Install Recommended cIOS" from HERE'''''''

the instruction you got is partially right/wrong.

You need "cIOS d2x v6" only if you never watched the "Wii motion+ video" and don't want to use alternative dol to watch it.

Once you watched it, don't keep "Block IOS reload" option enabled, it's not needed anymore.
It shouldn't cause any problem to keep it, but just to be safe you can disabled it.

I'm playing in English. Did a format WBFS of my FAT32 partition using WiiBackupManager v0.4.5 build 76 (used same tool to transfer iso). Tried Wiiflow v2.2, resulted in same problem. Sometimes first the music stops, before the game freezes.
