Don't know if this the right place to post this so sorry. I modded a wii(thanks Xflax & crew) that I updated to 4.3. Well now I was going to add Netflix via Shop Channel but its saying I need to update via System Update to use the channel. WTF? So I found that WiiSCU allows updates but last update I've found is from 2010. Will this work still and if so, what do I update channel to? Trying not to mess up this Wii since it's not mine. Thanks

NEVER update your system. If you have Priiloader installed, hold reset while you boot your Wii and there should be a menu where you can change some settings. Make it so it ignores updates, both disc and shop. Then you should be fine.

When using ModMii did you choose to install all the official channels?

I could tell you to install a Custom System Menu using WiiMod3.0 and just go ahead with the update afterwards albeit i'm thinking something may not have gotten installed or had problems installing? Usually you will get this message cause and IOS the channel uses is either outdated or you don't have the latest version of that channel; which ModMii should have given and prompted you to install.

If you want to go the route of a Custom System menu download WiiMod3.0 off the forums here.

Grab DOP-Mii, and update Shop Channel to the latest version and also update IOS56 to the latest revision. Then you can use Shop Channel just fine. Every other post in this thread is irrelevant. This problem cannot be solved by Priiloader hacks or a patched System Menu installed with Wii Mod.

Seeing as you are already on 4.3, you could also just do an official update. All that will do is install the parts of the latest update you are clearly missing (latest Shop Channel, possibly latest IOS56, perhaps other bits you don't know are missing) and won't remove anything seeing as you already have 4.3, so it won't be installed again, and most of your IOS are probably the latest revision anyway. TBH, this is probably what I would advise, but if you're worried, you could go for the DOP-Mii option.
