Well, a Youtube app could be on it judging by the Playstation Store for Vita. It says something about downloading apps from there so there's still hope for a video player app.
Ah man, surely they won't charge us for this?! I want it native, like the PSP had.
Is this list of day one apps on it 100% correct?
I'm pretty sure it is. But I believe the info is based off the videos of the Vita that was uploaded by Playstation on Youtube.

Just Googled it, it's 100% legit :(

Ah well, doesn't mean we'll HAVE to pay for the video feature, it just means it won't be available at launch on everyone's PSV.

Oh guys, OF COURSE THERE'S A VIDEO APP THERE. A 2 second search on google brings you the Sony page, where you can clearly see Video Player listed there. The damn portable was announced compatible with multiple video formats, of course there's a video aplication to run them.

Sometimes I don't see why I bother replying...

But don't worry guys, Vita's already dead.

I think this is only pre-installed first party apps, odds are there will be third party apps (Youtube, Facebook possibly) that'll come, as well as more improvements on the current app front.

But Video Player and music player are first party and will be there day one. The others will be available for free on PSN.

We know this since... 1 or 2 months before E3.

We don't know if the browser will support Flash/HTML5 yet... but it's webkit based... so it's possible.

I have no interest in Vita but where's the media player???
What's the point of this post?

And here's your Media Player:

And music player:

Expect half those features to be gone by a year or two :P

Hey, at least they have the features at launch and we don't have to wait months for a fucking shop to actually pop up.

Seriously, post shit that actually makes sense instead of posts that make you come off like an uneducated dunce.

the 3ds had its problems.. the vita will have its problems too. the only thing that matters is how long they take to fix it, if they fix it and if it was worth it. for me the wait was worth it. and for me some things that sony promised will take some time to come true.

don't attack the guy for sharing his thoughts. dont act like a retarded sony fanboy please.

peace and love! the vita and 3ds are both great systems

Actually, these features will indeed lose the interest of the user after sometime. He has a point, but you have a point as well.

Waiting MONTHS for an internet browser is seriously bullcrap, and I don't use it (and neither will I use the Vita browser). I have my handy iPhone Safari.

I couldn't care less about those other apps.Just give me a media player (especially a vid player compatible with many formats) and I'm sold.
You might be expecting a little too much for a handheld gaming device.

Except that there is historical precedent for saying this. Features that were initially advertised as being a part of the PS3 were taken away in later hardware revisions. If FireGrey is truly a "dunce" for alluding to this fact (jokingly, given the smley), what does that make you? I've seen you play watchdog for Sony every time a poster brings this up and frankly, it makes you look ridiculous. Sony, as well as every corporation, does not have the ability to exude sunbeams out of every orifice. Likewise, they do not deserve to be defended all the time. The sooner you realize this, the better.
