GTA: San Andreas - Nintendo Switch port

This is a wrapper/port of the Android version of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (v2.11.311).
It loads the original game binary, patches it and runs it.
It's basically as if we emulate a minimalist Android environment in which we natively run the original Android binary as is.

The performance isn't great at the moment
It's CPU-bound on draw calls, the game issues a lot of GL calls per frame and Switch mesa driver is slow per-call

Thanks to @dima353 for the improvements, including patches from the Vita port and shader optimizations

Awesome, does it works with cleo ? I'm trying to get first person view (including while driving) for the nintendo switch so that woud l be an option

Love it, thank you for the great work!

Does it mean that ports of GTA 3/ Vice City Android versions are possible too? (ignoring the fact that re3/reVC exist)

Yeah it's possible, but since re3 / reVC exist there is not much point on working on this

A new update to GTA SA should be coming soon, with upstream Mesa 26 support and GLThread added, It improves performance quite a lot compared to the current version based on Mesa 20.

re3 and reVC are abandoned, they don't work on newer firmware.

No, they’re not abandoned there are newer builds available that support newer firmware versions

1.0.3 available : https://github.com/NaGaa95/gtasa_nx/releases/tag/1.0.3
  • Updated to Mesa 26.2 OpenGL driver.
  • Enabled Mesa GL threading for reduced rendering overhead.
  • Improved GPU submission and frame pacing using mapped completion.
This is a major performance update that makes the game significantly smoother

GTA SA Improved Performance !!! Ive been waiting for this Master Nagaa . Thank you for your hard work 🙏🙏🙏 Also just a question . A Developer worked on the Bully-nx port and its currently version .02 if im not mistaken . and i downloaded it . its great , But do you have any idea that they will update that Game too to make it run smoother like you did on your GTA SA port ? Or is there a chance that you can Make a Bully port with a much better performance ? Im not an expert . I dont know if this possible . I just know based on your GTA SA port . That you can do better . Again thanks for your Contribution 🙏🙏🙏
