'Angelic: Dark Symphony', a narrative RPG from former Bungie and Crytek developers, announced

Independent developer Angelicore Game Studios has unveiled Angelic: Dark Symphony, a narrative RPG that is part of the wider Angelic universe. The development team is led by former Bungie and Crytek members. The teaser trailer above, which includes some in-engine footage, accompanied the announcement.

Humanity created neo-humans. They called them angels.

After rebelling against the corporations that controlled them, the angels decisively won the devastating Interhuman Wars and vanished into deep space.

Two centuries later, the angels are returning.

In Angelic: Dark Symphony, players experience a cinematic science-fiction narrative through the shifting perspectives of a diverse ensemble cast. Every hero carries their own motivations, relationships, conflicts, and place within the wider story, while their distinctive powers reshape the game’s turn-based battles.

The gameplay of this dark science-fiction RPG combes shifting character perspectives, hero-driven turn-based combat, and an overarching plot involving cosmic tragedy.

"Dark Symphony has no single protagonist surrounded by supporting characters," explains Erkan Bayol, Founder and Game Director at Angelicore Game Studios. "Players experience the story through different heroes as their journeys unfold in parallel, while taking full control of them in turn-based combat. You do not choose a single angel to carry the story. You experience it through all of them.”

Angelic: Dark Symphony is currently in development for PC. It is available to wishlist on Steam and Epic Games Store.

‘From former devs of [hit game series]’ is a big red flag in my book that doesn’t reflect any sort of quality. Take highguard, for instance
I guess it depends on if this info was provided by studio itself or was found out by other people.

I don't see anything exposing that fact in trailer itself.

Yeah once devs have made a hit game series they can't make quality games anymore, it's like the ability vanishes. (this is sarcasm, as your post is really generalising. Lots of talented people out there who have made hit after hit.)

I don't think that's a good example, because Redfall was allegedly rushed due to M$ enforcing an impossible deadline for Game Pass. Angelicore seems to be indie, so while they can fuck it up in myriads of ways, I doubt the same will happen here.

oh, i know.
the end result doesnt get much more enjoyable because of that tho.
i wasnt comparing redfall to this new game at all. just saw someone commenting on the trope of mentioning "By the people who gave: ____" etc. i agreed that ANY studio/developer/artist, no matter how beloved, can totally turn out a turkey.
