Emulation Homebrew tico — GameCube, Wii, PSP, and 3DS on Switch (HOS)

For Tico on Switch, the process is basically:

1. Put the .wad somewhere Tico/Dolphin can access (SD card is fine).
2. Open the Dolphin core in Tico.
3. Go into the Dolphin/Wii tools or settings area and find the WAD installation option.
4. Install the .wad.
5. Exit Tico completely.
6. Relaunch Dolphin/Tico.
7. Start the Wii Menu inside Dolphin.
8. The WiiWare game should appear as a channel.

Here Tico worked like an normal iso.

just put wad on same iso folder that core or dolphin reads, and it runs.

I placed the castlevania rebirth.WAD file inside the TIco /roms / folder and Tico says it cant find any games.

I couldn't get tico to play any wads, I haven't tested Castlevania specifically, but I got a couple wads working with Dolphin.

Using Dophin which method did you use to play them if you don't mind me asking? Do they just work automatically by putting them inside a specific folder or is it more involved?

They just work with the default settings.

I placed the castlevania rebirth.WAD file inside the TIco /roms / folder and Tico says it cant find any games.

All my roms are in subfolders in this folder there, even because it's down most of them by tinfoil and run via retroarch and this folder is the default of retroarch. So I leave everything there and configure the tico to scan the subfolders.

After that, you need to go to the system and have it scanned again. I just did that, my friend.

In dolphin there are options to add several paths to the rom folders, in case I added the wii and gc folders separately, but they are inside the /roms folder.
