I still remember in high school science class the teacher had us take turns reading parts of the textbook out aloud to the class and it was my turn when we got to the section discussing the advantages and disadvantages of asexual reproduction. When I read out the advantage "you can reproduce without a member of the opposite sex" one of my classmates laughed and said "you'll have to reproduce like that". He wasn't wrong, it was a long time later, and only after losing contact with him, that a girl finally liked me enough to change that.
