Super Mario Sunshine Randomizer gets v0.3.1 beta release
The Super Mario Sunshine Randomizer developed by TheAzack9 has just gotten a new release earlier today after debuting three weeks ago on GitHub. For those who have missed it, this new randomizer focuses on swapping around the levels and loading zones to present a fresh Mario Sunshine experience. Each of the game's levels will present you with a random loading zone, with your ultimate aim to navigate the chaos and defeat Shadow Mario in the seven stages as usual. To make things even more interesting though, you'll only start with the ability to move and jump, with other abilities—even FLUDD's various nozzles—needing to be found via special rainbow Shine Sprites.
You can download the randomizer as a bps patch for the US version of Mario Sunshine, where you'll then be able to generate new seeds on the fly by just starting a new file. On top of this, engine improvements and tweaks are available in-game, including a 60fps toggle and support for non-4:3 aspect ratios. I was particularly surprised to see 16:10 supported out of the box!
If you've already given it a shot and are just curious what's new for this release, you can find the changelog for Beta v0.3.1 in particular down below:
