'Life is Strange: Reunion', the conclusion to the Max and Chloe saga, announced

Max Caulfield and Chloe Price are reuniting one last time in Life is Strange: Reunion. This title will conclude the Max and Chloe saga, and the trailer above was shared to accompany its announcement.

In LIFE IS STRANGE: REUNION, players will once again visit Caledon University, where Max Caulfield works as a photography teacher. Returning from a weekend away, Max finds her beloved Caledon ablaze, as a raging inferno destroys the hallowed grounds and ends the lives of Max’s friends, students and faculty alike. Max only escapes the devastation due to her Rewind power – returning from the original LIFE IS STRANGE – a supernatural ability that lets her reverse time.

Jumping back in time through a selfie, Max now has just three days to work out how the fire began. Can she make the most of her second chance to prevent this fiery disaster?

That’s when Chloe Price arrives at Caledon, much to Max’s surprise: a shocking repercussion of Max’s merging of the timelines at the end of LIFE IS STRANGE: DOUBLE EXPOSURE. Haunted by nightmares of a past she never lived, and with her grip on reality unravelling, Chloe needs Max’s help.

Features of Life is Strange: Reunion include:
  • Play as both Max and Chloe, alternating between their different perspectives as the story unfolds.
  • Use Max’s Rewind power to undo and redo decisions, change the course of conversations and manipulate the environment to solve four-dimensional puzzles
  • Use Chloe’s Backtalk ability, quick wits, and take-no-prisoners attitude to sway key suspects – and go where Max can’t.
Life is Strange: Reunion will launch on March 26, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC (Steam and Microsoft Store). The Standard Edition of the game will be available at a suggested retail price of $40.

Im personally looking forward to this, so much so, that Im likely going to buy double exposure just to catch up on the drama before this comes out in March. I've enjoyed all of the LiS games, and the other titles from Don't Nod (tell me why), but I believe these newer titles are from a different studio in Deck Nine, as they shutdown the team at Don't Nod. I met some of the developers of Don't Nod at XO19 and they were really nice cool people. LiS is one of those games that people find marmite, personally I enjoy the games, and im currently playing Bloom and Rage, but I need to finish tape 2.

To wrap up the sad lesbian saga, it's right in the title my guy.
This is the most accurate description of the saga and I'm mad I didn't think of it first. (Full disclosure: I only watched a gameplay of the first game, but already saw some undertones there)

I'm hyped! The cliffhanger from the last game opened things up to a few possibilities. Hopefully this next game isn't the last one and it's just the end of the whole Chloe and Max relationship. The last game ended with a possible Max vs Safi story and I really want to see that play out!

Because Life is Strange.
I don't think this is the end. Just the end of Max and Chloe. Remember, LiS 2 and LiS True Colors have introduced characters that are not involved with the journey of Max (yet). Maybe after this game the developers will try to catch lightning in a bottle again with another coming of age story. Shit, maybe they can go all Resident Evil by having two playable characters whose scenarios have an effect on each other. The next game seems to be a test of the dual character gameplay.

Well, the original game was awesome. But when I played True Colors, really had the most boring time of my life. Now, with the last installment (I haven't played it yet) I read that they dropped the ball because Max behavior was like a total different person and nothing was talked about the last adventure she had with Chloe. (Was that true? if so, they really screwd up)

Now seeing this I don't know what to think. I loved the first game and all the story, but this feels like a "okay, we fucked up so here you have the real continuation"? But maybe it will be rushed and will let all of us down. Hope I'm mistaken and they bring out another masterpiece. (Highly doubt it)
