USB not being recognized in USB Loader GX

Enable modmii's hermes cios option, then use the main wizard, syscheck updater wizard, or just download recommended cios's from download page 4

I installed hermes cIOS using ModMii but it still doesn't recognize. It still says waiting for HDD after it says reinitiating devices. I guess my USB drive is just not compatible.

You can drag and drop your syscheck.csv onto modmii.exe and it will tell you what to do. But you should also try formatting your thumb drive as wbfs, this is not automatically done by wii backup manager, u need to go to its tools menu and manually tell it what drive u want formatted and how

What if my usb drive was being detected and all of my games were working before and then all of a sudden they stopped working?

Then the console may have done an official update because priiloader system menu hacks blocking updates weren't enabled, and your cios could have gotten removed, and u should still do as advised. That would be the first thing I'd check anyway

Actually, after hours of trying to figure it out, I got it working again...I backed up the files on SD card and reformatted it, then added files back to SD, put it back in the Wii, booted it up, started USB Loader GX and my Wii Games reappeared and they run like a champ. Idk, I guess the SD card needed to be refreshed with a fresh format but it's all good now, thanks for the quick response, though
