I've put together this group to display interesting snacks and drinks I've come across. I'm inviting other users to post and share. Not everything has to be candy, soda or unhealthy items alike. Most of mine will be but I don't recommend anyone being like me. :-)

Got a few Sun Hee brand instant udon bowls today. The microwave kind, with pre-cooked udon noodles in a bag that you just heat up in a microwave with the sauce and dried vegetable packet. $5 a pop (or should I say pot). I will be trying them out.

Starting with "Spicy kung pao".

Aaaand it's not so great. First of all the portion is snack-sized. The noodles are nice, thicc and chewy, but the sauce is bland and underseasoned. It's not spicy at all, and needs more salt. The little package of toasted sesame seeds is great, I just wish it was five times bigger. All in all, not much better than a $1 cup noodle. Would not recommend.

I have sesame teriyaki, and gochujang paste left to try.

It's not spicy at all,

Ugh dude I hate that. Spice = "we put a few cracks of black pepper in it!" lmao.

Yes, I know they want to make it palatable to the widest margin of people they can. But don't call it spicy then because bare minimum I expect is some mouth tingles.

All these noodles advertise super spicy then people are like all it did was give me heart burn and I survived. It didn't put me in the ER as advertised.

Sesame teriyaki this time:

I'm much happier with this one, because it didn't overpromise so it didn't underdeliver.
The udon noodles are nice and chewy, the teriyaki sauce is thick and sweet, pretty good if you like that sort of thing.
Still wish the portion was a bit bigger, and still wish it was $2 instead of $5, but it's a serviceable bowl of noods.

If you ever see frozen bags of beef lo mein they aren't horrible, don't know if you have Aldis in your country but I bought a frozen bag and super easy to prep.

Just comes with a sauce pack you thaw under water and pan fry together.

We don't have Aldi but we do have Lidl which is close enough. They have decent frozen noodle and rice dishes, and pretty cheap.
