Just use Sphaira. Stay on 19.0.1, keep your mods working, sys-tweak and for new games use SAK to patch new games that need higher firmware.

There is only so much you can patch on 19.0.1 though , once it use new sdk people are going to be forced to update if they want to play new games. To be honest ain't that bad to be on 20.x.x.

Do not use DBI. I just installed the russian backend on my computer last night on a BRAND NEW LAPTOP, only to get keylogged and all my shit stolen on OSRS. Bypassed my 2FA and my PIN code because the DBI exe files zombified my laptop.

Creator was not joking. If you are american, he will steal your shit. Do not trust this program. I don't even know how to get the word out. All I know is that DBI was the culprit. Scanning the files on virustotal will confirm this for yourself.

Yeah I used it for several years but it's not worth it if you're on 20.5 and you want to install Metroid Prime 4 just use AwooInstaller + NX-USBLoader they worked perfectly. While there may be some ports this will most likely be the last game on the Switch that really matters unless you only have a Switch for gaming period. I game on PC and this will probably be the last exclusive that matters on the Switch 1. Recommended to do like me get Metroid Prime 4 installed (if you want it of course) and whatever other games that are older and be done with the Switch 1.

VirusTotal reports only 3 out of 72 av apps detected it, and those three are shit no one has ever heard of. MaxSecure? Sangfor Engine Zero? Skyhigh? Meanwhile AVG, Malwarebytes, Avast, Avira, Bitdefender, Emisoft, Kaspersky, and many more well known apps do not detect anything with it. I'd need more proof that what happened was caused by DBI. I would think we'd be hearing more than just one report of this by now.

yeah sounds more like installing all programs on a «new» computer, installed a lot of things at the same time without knowing what is installing.

Dude wanted to pirate game, probably metroid and downloaded it from some shady site. Probably even installed a downloader the site suggested.

Thats why he needed the backend.

Been using DBIBackend (the older, non-qt version) forever, no issues.
Even if you're paranoid, just get the unpacked script, install dependencies and run it directly. It's a python script you can inspect yourself.

Anyone else noticed, that the „Send via USB“ feature got lost somewhere between 810 and 849?

Going to installed games and use this feature would Lauch some kind of DBI Backend Service. You would be able to connect a second switch directly and use Install from DBI backend to transfer game directly from Switch to Switch.

This was a pretty cool feature IMHO.

You do not need it anymore. Just connect two switches and run mtp responder on one of them.

I have is this. You can basically figure out the drop down menus for manipulating files by copying how our works on the last English version.
