Waiting for the (potential) 12.52 exploit for my Slim.

Since I don't wanna go through the process of downgrading the firmware (which requires opening the console up and molesting its motherboard with a soldering iron), I decided that the best course of action is to wait for the 12.52 exploit when it arrives soon (that is, if it ever becomes a reality). So far, I've disabled automatic updates, and I'm planning on factory resetting the console later on (however, I will wait for your word, just to be safe). What else should I do in preparation?

Note: I'm using a PS4 Slim.

You should've stuck with a 'jailbreakable' older firmware version instead of updating.

Don’t do a factory reset, then you will loose the ability to downgrade also.
Reset overwrites the previous fw slot to the same fw that you have now.

I don't have the money, though. And I'm pretty sure I can't rely on any sort of vendor/seller, because for all you and I know, they most likely would've installed the latest firmware before selling.

at this point wait until january 2026, thats around the time Sony seems to be cutting support for the ps4 so updates might be more infrecuent.

Nowdays you could easily find system on12.02 that are hackable for sale.

The requirements is a bluray burner and a empty bd-r disc. And henloader_lp.iso
