No. I have transferred back an forth my save to jailbroken switch and only gave myself the shiny charm then sent it back to my Switch 2
yes if you go online on your modded switch and I'm surprised your switch 2 hasn't been bricked by Nintendo yet bc I've seen Nintendo brick switch 2s for barely any modifications before. Keep doing that and Nintendo will catch on and brick your switch 2 and ban your modded switch.

Still waiting and hoping for a shiny encounter code that makes it like 10% or 20% or something, whatever lower number so shiny hunting feels a little more fun but not all that hard.

Thats b/c my Switch 2 is isn't modded hun switch2 isn't currently hackable... yet. All I did was a mere save transfer from a hacked switch1

you can't mess with saves without homebrew and you need a modded switch for that so you can't mess with saves on a non modded switch. so you can't transfer a save to a non modded switch bc that's impossible without homebrew. no your switch 2 isn't modded but you're transferring hacked in pokemon into a game and that's technically modding and/or cheating and Nintendo doesn't allow that.

Ive also done this without issue. just do a save data transfer in the settings from the modded switch (for the modded save) to the Switch 2. works just fine and ive had no issues from it

again the only way to do that is to go online onto Nintendo servers and that's what gets modded switches banned. there's a reason why it's recommended to keep modded switches offline from Nintendo's servers permanently. and again Nintendo will brick your switch 2 for transferring a save from a modded switch that had cheats activated on it to the switch 2 bc that's technically modding and cheating and Nintendo doesn't allow that.

All of that is fearmongering. Been doing this sort of thing since pokemon Sword/Shield -Scarlet/Violet. Hell even my Pokemon home has a complete Dex and shiny Dex from pkhax. Everything is fine as long I play "Purchased games" online

You've just been lucky so far. But with how Nintendo is now your luck is probably going to run out. Transferring a modded save to a switch 2 can get your switch 2 bricked nowadays by Nintendo bc Nintendo can see that as modding your switch 2 or modding your game.

The steps ive done that ive personally had zero issues with since i got the switch 2 day one are :
backup save on modded switch
boot OFW
turn on airplane mode
reboot to sysCFW and go to album and restore said save to sysCFW
reboot to OFW and turn off airplane mode
Transfer that save over

And as @MasterJ360 stated, have to have the games owned. Never tried transferring a save i didnt own on the eshop, and im not even sure it'd be possible as the tickets wouldnt be loaded on the system to be able to restore the save on OFW

Don't need luck if I know what im doing. Emunand is there for a reason. Its protected me since 2018
Emunand is what gets a modded switch banned if it goes online so is the sysnand if Nintendo detects homebrew on it. I've gotten a modded switch banned for going online on the sysnand while having homebrew on it and all I did was download firmware updates and game updates. and switch 2 doesn't have emunand so your unprotected on that.

I give up. Just from reading that sentence you have no clue on what you are talking about.

Nintendo doesn't care if you own the games or not. If Nintendo detects any sort of modding or cheating being done on the switch 2 the switch 2 will be bricked and transferring a save from a modded switch that had cheats turned on in the save to a switch 2 is considered cheating.

I've been around the switch modding scene since it first started so yes I do actually. I had a unpatched switch and jailbroke it when the jailbreaing first came out for the switch. then I had a modded switch oled that also had a jailbreak on it and now I have another unpatched switch that I also jailbroke. so yes I actually do know what I'm talking about.

so i'm trying to use the 60 FPS .ips patch on my modded switch, however, it runs terribly slow with the patch on. do i need to enable overclock or something ? or is the patch just supposed to be drop in exefs folder and just work right away ?

We'll have to agree to disagree. I'm not saying anyone copying what i personally do is 100% safe as well cause everyone here knows there's always a risk with modding and bans. They have always and will always go hand-in-hand with any mod scene. But if you know what you are doing and understand what actually triggers those flags that Nintendo can see you can reduce that risk drastically.
I have also had a unpatched launch switch (original owner) and modded it as soon as i knew i could, as well as a chipped OLED and Lite and now the "untouched" Switch 2, and i have had none of them get banned.
I was just explaining what i have had success with doing and have had no issues with, I've even transferred over my PC save of Hogwarts Legacy this way without issue.
