that's part of the reason I went out and bought another switch I could jailbreak bc of how emulators handle cheats is very annoying and very limited. I very much prefer how breeze and the switch hardware handle cheats to how emulators handle cheats. For everyone still confused about how to update cheat codes for emulators:
Reference: https://github.com/Atmosphere-NX/Atmosphere/blob/master/docs/features/cheats.md
- Code Type 0x8: Begin Keypress Conditional Block
- Encoding: 8kkkkkkk
- Code Type 0x2: End Conditional Block
- Encoding: 2X000000
These code types are what ryujinx and yuzu hate. So long as you remove these two lines (the ones beginning with 8 and the ones beginning with 2 generally your cheat code will work (only that you now can't disable that code without shutting down the emulator and disabling it which is annoying)
let's look at this example which I have not actually tried using at all (haven't used cheat codes in years)
So you would just remove those two lines and pray that it works

of course, the down side is now you have to restart the emulator to disable it. Because the emulator CANNOT detect button presses you can't enable and disable things easily, but this way you can get more codes working than you can otherwise, which is especially helpful if there's one code you really can't live without.
I am using ryujinxAre you switch hardware or emulating? When emulating, not being able to turn off the code is a known issue. If you're on switch hardware, you need to be using the restore code to disable Infinite Mega Energy.
then your only choice is to constantly shutdown and restart the emulator to disable and re-enable the codes. the switch emulators handles cheats very very retardedly imho.I am using ryujinx
I can only do this now, it's really distressing and regrettablethen your only choice is to constantly shutdown and restart the emulator to disable and re-enable the codes. the switch emulators handles cheats very very retardedly imho.
blame the original creators of yuzu and ryujinix bc that's how the original code for the original switch emulators was designed and all the current emulators are just reusing the original code with very small modifications and no modifications on how the cheats are handled unfortunately. Imho the original creators of both yuzu and ryujinx did a piss poor job at how they designed their emulators on how they handle the cheats.I can only do this now, it's really distressing and regrettable
There was basically only creator, the lead dev of ryujinx who basically everyone copied. No one else was basically touching any of the core code, basically they were the sole person responsible for nearly all the core code. Now that this perp has been threatened legally, you can assume that there's no changes that will be rolled out to cheat handling because everyone was copying their homework.blame the original creators of yuzu and ryujinix bc that's how the original code for the original switch emulators was designed and all the current emulators are just reusing the original code with very small modifications and no modifications on how the cheats are handled unfortunately.
actually yuzu was the very first switch emulator and the creator of yuzu got sued to yuzu's oblivion and ryujinx was the second switch emulator that came out shortly after yuzu and ryujinx's creator got threatend legally by Nintendo but never actually sued. There was basically only creator, the lead dev of ryujinx who basically everyone copied. JKSV is a homebrew app designed to be run on a CFW switch, not on a computer. How can I install JKSV for creating save backups when there is just a .nro file and no .exe? there is a source file but there isn't a .exe in that one too
nro files only work on switch hardware not on pc and jksv is a switch hardware homebrew only. How can I install JKSV for creating save backups when there is just a .nro file and no .exe? there is a source file but there isn't a .exe in that one too
How do I turn it into cheat code?
top menu there should be a cheats option in one of the drop down menus.Question about Ryubing cheats. How do I enable them? Recall doing it a few years ago on regular ryujinx. I can right click on the title and access cheats but can't figure out how to paste them.
do you have the cheats in the correct folder structure? Right click the title and click to open the cheats directory and then create a folder called "cheats" then put the text file in that "cheats" folder. That dialog box is actually how to enable and disable cheats in the new ryujinxView attachment 533579
I see this when right clicking on it. Though not seeing an option in the top drop down menus.
do you have the cheats in the correct folder structure?
