Hi,

This is my first post on this forum, I've followed many tutorials on this site and I have an issue with rebuilding the MLC when setting up redNAND.

I followed the tutorial "How to setup redNAND to fix system memory error 160-0103 (failing eMMC) without soldering" to the letter, double checking that evertything was done according to the intructions, but I am stuck at "Rebuidling the MLC".

I select "Patch (sd) and Boot ios redNAND" and the LED blinks blue, but the LED never becomes static even after a few hours.

I forced shutdown and tried again, with the same results.

It seems that the process doesn't continue until the end, because the log in wafel_setup_mlc.log only has the following.

I double checked the following:
- I tried 2 different sd cards of a reliable brand
- The partitioning is made according to the tutorial
- I downloaded all the MLC files matching the region of my WiiU and copied them accordingly to the wafel_install folder.
- All the steps of the tutorial are followed correctly

I didn't find any message about this specific issue, does anyone have a clue? Thanks!

What was the original problem the console had before you started?
Did you ever disassemble the console?

The console was stuck at boot screen.
The console was not modded and and didn't mess with anything.
I also never disassemble the console.
I hadn't used my console in a few months, but it was working fine back then.
I tried Recovery Menu first, but it didn't solve the issue.

Please dump and upload (as a zip) the system crash logs. You can dump them in the backup and restore menu in minute

Thank you for your reply!
I uploaded the logs.

I noticed a few things by turning on the console without the SD card by mistake:
- It was able to go past the boot screen and I was able to choose a user (sometimes it would freeze right after choosing, sometimes it goes into the wii menu)
- If I am quick enough, I am able to launch apps or games (I was able to play Mario Kart 8 digital version once, and the other 2 or 3 tries I was stuck at the splash screen but it is still animated ). When I press the Home Button on the Gamepad to exit the game, the console freezes.
- I was able to access the settings menu, and it was unable to find any internet connection. Pressing X to show the networks resulted in console freeze. The access points saved in the console are for a previous home so they don't work anymore.
- If I try to turn off the console normally (from the console or the gamepad), the console freezes.

There is no signs of eMMC problems. Maybe there is a problem with the 2,4Ghz wifi chip or the bluetooth chip.
Do bluetooth controller like Wii Motes or the Pro controller work?

UPDATE: thanks to your advice, I was able to identify that the issue was a defective Wifi chip.
I replaced it with a new one, and now the WiiU is working flawlessly!
Thanks for giving indications of things to check.
