But you got the vaccine, and you have not had problems. So it worked. There's your answer.
I already wrote that the vaccine only work one year, and it have been 6 years since the pandemic began
so i guess i was lucky the remaining 5 years, or maybe i just got a good immune system

But did "you"?

Do some get sick even with it? Yes. But it helps more than it hurts. Even those same folks that got really sick could have been dead otherwise.

It's no use. Luke warm IQ people with confirmation bias and living in a vacuum. They don't fully understand the nuances of science, politics, language or even humanity. They believe celebrities and crackpots over doctors and scientists. Its a popularity contest. They believe who they like. They will double down and put all humanity at risk because they don't know anything and they think they know more than you. They think they are privelidged to a special subset of information and everyone else is a fool. They don't realize its their cognitive issues on display. Paranoid, selfish and stupid. Don't argue with them too much, they bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

And I wrote that viruses evolve and mutate, (which to add, some are quicker than others), which is the whole reason why we continue getting yearly shots. You being "lucky" for the past 5 years has more to do with having gotten the vaccine that helped teach your immune system to combat that version of the virus. Do you forget what 2 + 2 is after a year of learning it?

You may have a good immune system, but it doesn't automatically mean it knows how to fight something it's never encountered before. I fact, was the covid vaccine the first and only shot you ever got? If not, can you honestly say your immune system would have been good without all the other shots prior?

Certainty there are some that have been around this board long enough for us to know exactly what they are doing, but I'm willing to give those who are new to this section of the forums a chance.

Maybe not, but there is a reason why the the say you need one shot every year, if so it must have been one hell of a shot i got

Did you not read the first part of what you quoted me here?

No need to be vaccinated in 2025 or even 1 year ago, since the covid virus has become a normal flu virus
I only got one shot 6 years ago, and haven't had any problems.
And looking back thinking about how little impact covid had on me, i regret getting the shot
Well sure if you're an absolute idiot this might be a stance one takes.

Yearly vaccinations are for popular strains. Take the flu vaccine for example, they can accurately predict the strain that will be prevalent and so they issue vaccines for that particular strain. COVID vaccines work in a similar fashion and because coronaviruses mutate quickly booster shots are important to maintain a good defence. Congrats if you haven't been severely ill with COVID but not all of us are so lucky.

Actually i dont understand people getting the vaccine for humane reasons
you can still pass the virus on
Another one who has no idea what they're talking about here 🙄

No one is claiming there vaccinations prevent the spread 100% but they do reduce the viral load even healthier people may carry. You'd benefit from a minimal amount of research if you could take the tinfoil hat off

Back in 2020 the COVID-19 vaccine was the most hotly debated topic on the internet. Now nobody talks about it. I started in the undecided camp holding the same worries most people did about the vaccine being rushed and the most popular ones being mRNA vaccines which hadn't been used in human vaccines before. After an initial period of hesitation I joined the pro-vax side and crusaded over the internet in favour of the vaccines. I did practice what I preached and booked my appointment immediately after learning I had become eligible for it. When I eventually got COVID I felt terrible, far worse than the flu. Without the vaccine I may well have ended up in hospital.

Thinking about it now, I'm glad I got vaccinated but crusading on the internet over it was a fucking waste of time and achieved absolutely fucking nothing. The best thing to do would have been ignore the heated debates and stick to a simple comment saying I will get vaccinated then a few a social media posts saying I got my first, second and third dose.

The vaccines did have their side-effects. The now discontinued Astrazeneca vaccine had a 1 in 100,000 risk of lethal blood clots. The mRNA vaccines carry their own risk of heart related issues. In the fear and confusion of the pandemic misinformation about the side-effects including facial paralysis and magnetism spread all over the internet.

Back when vaccine mandates were announced I called them an unfortunate necessity of the times and still think of them this way.
The vaccine was a cult

Like i said, you don't understand decency, humanity or common sense. If it's not about you, you won't get it.
Thanks Typhoid Mary.

Not to mention all the innocent people he spreads the plague to. Horrible human.

Right. Please go talk to the cults. They all have much more in common with your 3rd rate 3rd Reich Cheeto Demon. Just suck down some bleach, right? I hope Emma is your cat. It would be a shame to make more of you.

I believe you're mixing that up with the antivaxxers
They are lunatics but still the vaccine was experimental and we were the test subjects.
