Honestly, not 100% positive. This is what the path string looks like...
sd:/ROMS/Sega/Mega Drive/paprium/
paprium.bin
paprium/01 Theme of Paprium.mp3 and around 50 other .mp3 files
When I loaded the core it just black screen froze on me though, so I never actually was able to boot the paprium.bin.
I did test the PicoDrive core and it is working very well but .ogg was not tested on my side. Frankenstein has been updated with the new PicoDrive core and the ekeeke GX core was edited and added individually for all Sega platforms.
Same OGG rips from the same exact folder work 100% on Genesis Plus GX, same as virtual imaging utilities. You might want to copy-paste your CUE, or even better, upload any CUE file here that you have, I can compare it with any random CUE file to investigate any probable cause.
The game is completely not worth any trouble whatsoever, he is riding the hype wave. It doesn't leave a lasting impression and the lack of animation makes it look and play like an amateur game.

Yep, turns out it was the encoding, came here to post. Funny that Genesis Plus GX standalone doesn't have the same problem. Updated the previous post.
Can you re-confirm CHD files work with PicoDrive on your end? I'm having different results with official, but I need to confirm.
Also: would be very useful if you could recompile with the latest Github changes, and also add a 1.21.0 build (both GenesisPlusGX and PicoDrive). I can make a battery of tests against official build and nightly, specially since I think GenesisPlusGX Libretro stopped working a while ago (black screen).

i retested Genesis Plus GX (my ekeeke libretro cores), and yeah, this happens but oddly only the first OGG CD audio track played breaks, cause i let the emu play the rest of the OGG files and these played fine?

I have not tested these 1.21.0 cores yet but PicoDrive 1.7.6 is running well, although I did get a black screen freeze while booting Game Gear Aladdin. I will continue to test Pico core to see if I can reproduce black screen.
The latest GX ekeeke recompile is definitely a step backward from the prior release. I tested 3 Ninjas Kick Back.chd and Adventures Of Batman & Robin.chd...both return me to RA menu, so CHD support has been broken. I tested GG Land of Illusion which code dumped and MS Aladdin which did boot and work.
I will test 1.21.0 cores tomorrow but for now the previous GX and PD cores from last week will continue being used in and distributed.
@SaulFabre
Testing both GX and PD 1.21.0 recompiled cores...
GX 1.21.0 - testing 10 games, 2 from each supported console = 9 code dumps, I was unable to test CHD support since both CD games code dumped...this core is no good.
PicoDrive 1.21.0 - testing 5 games, all 32X = 3 code dumps on 1st game boot. 1 game booted fine but was unable to boot 2nd game in same session without code dump. 1 game booted fine and I was able to boot 2nd game in same session but 3rd game gave code dump...this core is not stable either.
I will test a little more with PD 176 but your recompiled PD cores have never gave code dumps before and believe it will eventually resurface in this core as well.
