Can't fire the majority of his own supporter base, either. How they didn't come to the obvious conclusion presented by this open secret a decade ago is beyond me, but at least they're staying persistent in hounding him over a broken campaign promise for once.
Why would he care what the base thinks? It’s his second term, he’s beholden to no one. Good.

Colbert debunked the claims, but the finances are at the crux here and not even Colbert has access to CBS/Skydance's books, so anything he's claiming is pulled out of his posterior.

Even Snopes is hedging their bets as inconclusive for Colbert's claims.

No debunking, merely lashing out as he does.

But yet again, you're choosing to red herring your way out of providing evidence, which you are yet to do as I have provided, repeatedly now.

Well, thank you for admitting that I was not wrong, but as I have repeatedly said on these forums before, just because I may disagree with you, does not make me MAGA.

It's odd that you would automatically assume that just because someone has a different position, that automatically there is only one other possible ideology that exists in the entire world that they could possibly hold.
People protesting so some millionaire who got paid like 15 million a year to keep his unfunny show is just so damn funny and sad. I swear, some of these people protesting have to be paid for by him. His unfunny show should have been cancelled after that Vax skit.

To all the people who believe he's some sort of "martyr", don't worry, once his contract is up, he'll probably get hired by some other channel, or make an unfunny podcast. He'll survive, he'll be able to afford the tax on his few mansions just fine.

Also, imo, David Letterman was never funny, Jay Leno and Conan were way funnier.

Good that he's a serial child rapist...? Really? We're getting bits and pieces of the overall picture, but when the big reveal finally happens, it'll turn him into a lame duck for the rest of his term. Assuming Republicans choose to go down with the ship like the fucking morons they are and don't vote to remove him from office, anyway.

It's good that the President doesn't answer to anybody? Are you out of your fucking mind?

You do realize you're literally, actually advocating for authoritarianism with this post. Something that for anyone else would be a 7-day ban.

Last edited by BlazeHeatnix,
Why would he admit he's losing money? It's a bad image for him to say his own show is a failure now, of course he would blame Trump to avoid taking responsibility himself

Technically he would not be losing anything, the network would and he has no incentive to keep quiet anymore

Seeing a libertarian so supportive of state authoritarianism is hilarious.

"Trump is going down for SURE this time!" says man for the 237th time.

It would probably happen, if it wasn't for guys like you who are still defending a pedophile child rapist in 2025. I hope you are proud and I hope your pride will be able to feed you in the long-run, because he's coming to take your lunch money away from you and giving it to his millionaire and billionaire buddies.

Pretending that we can’t read for the purposes of manufacturing fake outrage is not impressing anyone, particularly not me. Trump is not beholden to “the base”, and this is by design. The entire conceit of the U.S. Federal Government is that it is resistant to the fickle temperaments of the mob. The Founding Fathers were explicitly opposed to any notion of mob rule, or classic democracy for that matter, considering it tyranny of the majority. They opted for a federal republic rather than a direct democracy, distancing the individual from the political process as much as humanly possible without creating a dictatorship. Technically, citizens don’t even elect the president - the states do on their behalf by way of sending electors. The position of the head executive was specifically designed to be defensible from any assault outside of a specified path of removal which then was purposefully made extremely difficult to actually execute, all to ensure that the office of the presidency is beholden to no particular interest group. If the president did whatever a bunch of loud people on the Internet told him to do, I’d point that out as something to worry about. This is basic American civics, they cover it with children, grown adults are supposed to know and understand this already.

See above. Much like the Colbert departure, you have no evidence of anything you’ve just said, so as far as conspiracies are concerned, this is just another one on a long list of Trump’s alleged and completely unsubstantiated “crimes”. Rumours for the rumour mill.

Great point. While they tinfoil hat about Trump for the 100th time, meanwhile in reality Hussein Obama has ACTUALLY found to have committed treason.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not opposed to the Epstein list getting released, but I am also aware of the fact that it’s evidence of nothing, just like the flight logs. Epstein was a well-connected man who did business with a lot of prominent figures, from the Clintons to the British royal family. Is that proof that any of them ever diddled any kids? No, it’s evidence that he had people in a contact book, which I’d be surprised if he didn’t if they were in contact, for whatever reason. What I also know is that the contacts will be used as a political cudgel, even though they mean nothing and there is no smoking gun. As such, I can’t muster the will to care about it all that much. I am *much* more interested in Trump forwarding his political agenda during his last term, unrestrained by the looming thoughts of upcoming re-election, like he was the first time around. I want him to give precisely zero consideration to what “the base” has to say because “the base” is not the head executive - he is. He was elected to do a job and I want him to do it, not bother with appeasing loudmouths on the Internet for meaningless updoots.

Please, provide the information on this
He’s referring to the recent CIA and ODNI publications regarding the 2016 Russian election interference probe which was launched even though Russia’s capabilities to influence the election were assessed as minimal at best by the intelligence community, pointing at the possibility that it was politically motivated. The whole thing appears to have been launched at the behest of the White House and against expert recommendations.

Yeah this administration doesn't get the benefit of the doubt here.

Not surprised the usual dimbulbs fall for this though.

That said it's veering off topic now and we know certain moderators get upset at that.

They certainly do. I already humoured a weird discussion about Cosby on the proviso that it has ended and will not be continued. Let’s stick to the topic at hand, and if we’re going to stray for a short while, let’s make sure there’s at least some connection to the subject. There’s no point in treading through weeds, it’s easy enough to make a dedicated thread.
